Terribly maintained flat with unhelpful owner

Big bed

Lack of maintenance meant there were many problems. Air-conditioning leaked onto the floor. Many broken items. This had obviously been broken for a long time The owner/management had a bad attitude.

Genial

El estudio es moderno, bien cuidado y cómodo, nos dejaron sobres de café. Esta cerca a las zonas turísticas, se puede ir caminando a cualquier sitio de ellos. Nos permitieron dejar nuestro equipaje antes de la hora del check in.

Un poco más de cuidado en la ducha, ya que, al menos en el estudio que nos quedamos, tenía manchas amarillas. Pero eso sí, estaba limpio.

A perfect short stay in Athens for a family

Spacious, very clean, well located property perfect for a family. We took two apartments between two families and we had a great stay. The air conditioning was amazing in the Athens heat. Very friendly helpful host.

Location and room set up is excellent. You can walk around acropolis and feel safe.

They e-mail as the code.

Across our room is a big Hotel Parking and at the middle of the night around 10 pm and 2AM you will hear trash collector/ hotel employee dropping all the bottles/ glass in the garbage box . Very loud noise and It bothers me and my husband. The street is narrow. You can here the car passing the street.

We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend staying at Plaka Heart! We would definitely stay here again.

The location was great, 5-10 minute walk to the train station which was convenient. There is the main Plaka Square with shops and restaurants only 2 minutes away and then 10-15 minutes away from other main areas of Athens (Monastiriki Square, Syntagma Square, Acropolis). Very large room, good air conditioning and bathroom. Kitchen had a coffee machine and other appliances.

We didn’t like how firm the mattress was but we found that to be quite normal across Greece and obviously subjective to the traveller.

the apartment is a bit too small for 4 people. no space separation and no place to store clothes.

Disappointing

Shower wasn't clean, tv wasn't working as batteries were flat and couldn't turn on, paper thin walls so next door was loud

Superb

Very spacious stay with family very accommodating to our needs. Close & walking distance to main Attractions, Restaurants, Bars, Shopping etc. Big Thanks to Anne Maria being a great host to our stay in PlakaHeart. Transfers from airport to our stay & taxis were all spot on perfectly timed also very helpful with info to Tourist Attractions, Great communication over WhatsApp. Will stay again next visit to Athens with out hesitation. Thanks Again Anne Marie 💐

great location, good communication from host. nice coffee. comfy beds and nice pillows, sheets etc. lots of plugs to charge etc and charging points

could have been cleaner especially the bathroom. had half used toiletries left for us from a previous stay. when we left for breakfast we found the main entrance door was open so it felt a bit exposed. some milk sachets would have been good. pretty noisy during the night

Good

The location is excellent, very close (10-15 minutes) to many sights, including the acropolis. It's self-check in, the hosts are very detailed in the instructions (which you will receive several days before the arrival), and they also provided us with a very nice brochure with tips for what to see, where to eat, good spots for photos, etc. They were very responsive to our questions. We stayed in Hermes apartment, is was fairly spacious, it has a well equipped mini kitchen. WiFi was very good as well.

It was noisy. This is my only complaint. The building itself seems fairly old, and the walls felt paper thin - you could hear the apartment next door, the corridor and the ones above. Also, the street itself even though very small, generates a lot of traffic, both from pedestrians, and cars, and the windows isolated barely nothing compared to when they were open. There was also construction work going on across the street, which meant more noise and that you couldn't pull up the blinds during the day, as you would have the workers look directly into the apartment - not nice for privacy.

Great location only stayed 1 night and would stay here again.

The location was excellent as it was across the street from my parents hotel The Electra Palace.

The hallway lights didn't work when I got off the elevator and happy that I had a flashlight with me to open the door. The foyer and hallways of the building smelled like cats.

The host was very helpful but everything else was beyond mediocre. Overpriced for what it is.

Host was very helpful in helping me get the key earlier than scheduled.

Was far from the heart of the city. The price didn't reflect the value as I had paid similar amount for a significantly better hotel in the heart of the city. The bathroom had a very unpleasant odor. I did not dare use the shower as I couldn't stand being in the bathroom. The shower is not tiled and that is probably why the bathroom smells foul.

location great and large size room - well equipped kitchen. good customer service by host.

air con not working and as no batteries in air con remote control. room was cold. no bottled water in fridge. shower slippery. broken toilet seat. the host was on call to help with aircon issue - although it took an hour to fix.

best kind of location, value for money. great host

location is amazing, good value for money. walking distance to all the major sites. hot water works perfectly.

under the bed was not cleaned. noise from outside can be heard. can be noisy.

good location, the contact person is responsive.

the bathroom is really small and you need to count the time for taking shower, otherwise, it might not be enough hot water. the wall between each room is really thin. Unfortunately, we met people checkin at midnight and they were shouting and screaming in the room which we could hear clearly. so we need to get up at 3:00 am and put on ear plug to be able to fall asleep again. I would not recommend this place to people who needs a quiet place to rest.

was extremely noisy. a double glazed windows would have helped. Pictures are from few years ago or appartament need a bit of a “refresh”.
