Location and friendly staff
Bedside cabinets had tea stains over the top just needed a wet cloth to clean and cobwebs in each corner of window

Location - easy to find by road, just off the main street but quiet. Good selection of beers and spirits. Car park (NCP) at rear is convinient. Easy access for shops, other restraunts and bars - and not far from the attractions of the City itself.
The back staircase! Due to the age of the building, its quite small with a tight bend, but not too many steps.

Good location in the centre of town
Very unhappy that no breakfast was served. At the agreed time, the pub remained locked and in darkness. Despite ringing twice after 20 minutes I left having paid for - but had - no breakfast. The hotel so far has failed to show any courtesy in responding to two emails requesting a part refund for their failure to provide breakfast. Very disappointing and would not stay again.
