Noisy at night

Despite many reviews warning about excessive music until 3am, I was pleasantly surprised to find it quiet. I took a gamble on booking a Friday and Saturday night stay. On arrival the receptionist told me they only now host special events on the top floor. Fortunately, there were no such happenings during my 2 night stay. I was prepared for the worst - but got the best. Lovely, unique style rooms e.g. - separate toilet and shower ( not that it really matters to a solo traveller). The green bathroom tiling was lovely & calming. For about £30 GBP a great deal in a capital city. Be lucky to get a dorm bed for that in some capitals these days! Probably be £200 in London.
It was only about 5km from the bus station for my early morning departure to Yogyakarta. So, I recommend taking a gamble and hope your stay doesn't coincide with special events that might keep you awake? Better still - maybe contact them before booking to confirm whether or not any late night music is scheduled on the top floor.
Great location if you want to stay in a modern metropolis, with nightlife / sports bars/ shopping malls etc. Not so good for visiting the more traditional sites.

It is in South Jakarta about 20km South of Old Jakarta and the main sites. Bluebird taxi to the Dutch colonial area cost about 160000 IDR. Fairly quick via toll roads on a Saturday morning. South Jakarta modern and commercial. If I didn't need to catch a bus at 6.30am I may well have stayed more central.

Cool design, new restaurant layout is much better.
Still noisy from the upstairs bar. Aging rooms need some attention to maintain quality.

The hotel is perfectly adequate. However...
People should be told that their rooftop bar has a (very loud) DJ party until 2:30 am on Fridays and Saturdays. Afterwards people were having a private party in the room next door... until I went to complain at the desk at 3:30 am. Not being able to sleep until 4 am is not OK for a hotel, unless you are told this is a possibility beforehand.
