We loved our short stay here. It was a joy

We wish we stayed more than 1 night here. The Gables was beautiful and very relaxing. Very nicely located close to town but not in town which we loved.

I did struggle to sleep some - not sure if it was the bed or the nearby road but that was my only issue

Could be much better - definitely not worth the current rating

The property was clean and spacious and check in was easy.

The mattresses in all four bedrooms were extremely uncomfortable with springs coming through. A good nights sleep is the most important thing and this was a complete fail. None of our party were able to have a good nights sleep. There was a shortage of pillows which made it even more uncomfortable experience. one very flat pillow per person - also a failure. Three towels to shower with is poor when there are 4 double bedrooms and 8 people staying. The person showering last has absolutely no chance of having a dry towel. Another failure. Every bedroom has animal floor coverings. The owner needs to be more aware that many people will hate this. No mirrors in any bedroom and lack of bedroom furniture are smaller issues.

Great spacious clean house for touring Donegal.

Loads of space with lots of bathrooms per bedroom. Really clean and lots of facilities available in the house for cooking cleaning etc. Good location just opposite Laghey village.

Spacious well located property.

The Gables is a lovely spacious 4 bedroom 3 bathroom house, set in lovely elevated gardens. This house is just so well located! Close to castles, beaches, Donegal town Bundoran etc. It's a really good base for exploring the area and you'll find everything you might need in this well-equipped property. Booking and check in were easy thanks to Patricia's regular communications. Definitely recommend a visit.

I stayed at the gables with family for a family wedding in lough erske castle which was situated 6 miles away .The house was so spacious,clean and comfortable for us all was very to handy to the town aswell.The host was very good on keeping us informed of everything throughout our staying I'm booking again for next year .

I have no complaints here .

Pateicial is wonderful host, she was very proactive in making all the necessary arrangements and instruction. She was even more helpful as we had forgot some items while checking out and she was so nice to post it back to me.

So confortable; so beutiful, and so nice.

I loved the place. It was a bit tricky to find because there is a confusion in the Google Maps location, but thanks to the indications that the host gave to us, we could find it perfectly.

Everything was fine.

Lots of space, close to town

Lots of space inside and out of property. Ten mins drive from Donegal town. Eurospar and garage walking distance plus two local pubs in Laghey.

Road is noisy if windows are open. Shower downstairs needs attention. Low pressure and curtain needs to be refreshed. Not enough wardrobes. Kitchen needed a few more useful things, ie. glass dish for cooking in oven, ovenware generally.

The house was easy to find, just a short drive to the centre of Donegal town. House was fantastic, load of nice soft towels.

Just a bit of noise from the traffic on the road beside the house.

Very spacious property with comfortable furnishings. Modern equipment and excellent heating system. No faults what so ever. The owner was also wonderful and couldn’t do enough for us….we will be back.

Just off a main road, but not a real issue as the garden was large.
