Walking the Via Transilvanica means every km is valuable. Casa de Vis is right near the trail. And that's a godsent when tardily decending after sunset.
My room felt just right for a single, weary traveler. Matress was firm, but just what I needed to repair my aching body. And the colorful bathroom just perfect to compliment the healing water pressure after a long day in the sun.
And although the kindness the owners showed me was a bonus, it was actually the highlight of my day. By the time I'd arrived, every eatery in thr vicinity had already closed shop. And they generously offered not only their very tasty food with me, but also the biggest slice of cake I've had in years.
I wholehartedly recommend this stay. Especially if you're a bigger group, as you have living quarters and a private kitchen to share amongst yourselves.

Very clean and comfortable B&B, close to Zarnesti but not yet spoiled by tourist hordes.
The host is friendly and helpful. It's best to let the host know of your needs ahead of time.
There is a nice restaurant nearby (not related) where one can have lunch / dinner.
