The place, the room, everything was so much better than I expected. I booked it mainly because it was one of the few accommodations available in the area, but it turned out to be such a genuinely lovely and comfortable place to stay. It has everything you need, the kitchen is great, and the garden is so much nicer and more enjoyable than the listing suggests. It felt like the entire zoo passed through the garden — we didn’t see as many animals anywhere else as we did right here! It was such a joy to sit outside on the daybed and see different animals passing by every hour or even every half hour. We absolutely loved it. The whole place is simply so much better than it looks in the photos.
There is a very nice restaurant with delicious and affordable food around the corner, including a supermarket with everything you need and would not expect in a small village
The entrance of the Soberania park was really close.
It was sometimes a little difficult to communicate with the lady who looks after the house, as she only speaks Spanish, and we couldn’t always find her when we wanted to ask something. I accidentally booked the room for the wrong night. Luckily, we were able to add another night, but we did have to pay the full price. I completely understand that this was my own mistake, but personally, I would have appreciated a little more flexibility in this situation, especially since we ended up paying for an expensive night that we didn’t use.
The room rate is also quite a bit higher than at other places we stayed in Panama. But again, the booking mistake was our own fault.
You are required to book a minimum of two nights. At first, I was a little disappointed by this because I had originally only wanted to stay for one night. In the end, though, I’m actually glad we stayed for two nights. It made the stay feel much more relaxed, so the two-night minimum actually worked out very well for us.

Easy access and a lovely garden with bird viewing right off the patio. A short 20 minute walk to Pipeline Rd for access to one of the best birding spots in Panama. Comfortable bed and living space. The staff was available and helpful. 10 minute walk to store and small restaurant where they had a buffet containing vegan options.

I liked the location and I liked being able to use the kitchen to cook dinner, make coffee, etc. I liked that it was a nice big apartment and centrally located. And the AC! I stayed here for two nights in order to have fun birdwatching in the area.

Big room with well-equipped kichen & bathroom, nice view of garden from room big windows, natural light seems great, ceramic flooring looks clean and tidy. The free coffee give the guest a fresh-wake-up in the morning.
The TV in room does not work and the bed seems too small.
