+ Lekker eten (als het er finaal is)
+ Leuke quad tour
Met helaas zoveel minpunten … dat we hier nooit meer terugkeren:
- Dierenmishandeling (van een jonge ezel door het personeel) was een schande om te zien;
- Naast de kwestie antwoord op vraag per mail (daags voor aankomst met oog op boeking attracties, check out edm)
- Met dan bij aankomst poging tot oplichting door de redelijk onvriendelijke en luie receptioniste die u 1) een onterechte toeslag voor kinderen (50€ meerprijs) en 2) andere tarieven van massages (30€) direct én zonder detail wil laten bijbetalen bij aankomst; wat na vragen van details en lang discussiëren en aandringen pas daags nadien (zgn na akkoord v d manager werd rechtgezet - hoogst onaangenaam): check your bills!
- Super trage bediening in restaurant (je kan wel tot een uur moeten wachten en dan nog zijn ze van alles vergeten)
- Onvriendelijk aan de bar (elke vraag is teveel én alles direct te betalen want anders krijg je geen drankjes… ook al blijf je nog overnachten);
- In vergelijking met de andere plekken die we de laatste week bezochten: onvriendelijk personeel in het algemeen (dit in schril contrast met de super vriendelijke contacten gedurende de hele week in Marrakech)
Samengevat: prima locatie/accommodatie maar slechte exploitatie. Geen aanrader.

The agafay luxury camp is a stunning location overlooking the desert and atlas mountains. The rooms are beautiful and well equipped, and the staff is great (cudos to Wassim and Mohcine), very friendly and attentive. Food was also great, fast enough service and good quality. Different than some of the comments, we really did not feel we were overpaying nor being mistreated.
The site is still under construction as they are expending the amount of rooms. As the property is names “luxury” it would be good for them to pay more attention to detail, hide what is doing done still, fix places that have deteriorated with time and conceal spots that don’t look beautiful (I.e. the sides of the houses, it is only normal they look rough as they are on the desert, but this can also be easily concealed)

Le personnel… nous voyageons beaucoup et quand nous arrivons dans ce genre d’hôtel à ce prix, c’est agaçant de se faire livrer le petit déjeuner en réclament directement de régler le service de chambre dès le lever et de revenir 10 min après. Tout est payant et nous devons donc avoir notre carte sur nous pour payer toutes les heures au lieu de mettre sur la note de la chambre et de régler à la fin. Il n’y a que l’argent tout le long du séjour qui sort de leur bouche ! Le personnel n’est pas des plus agréables. Le service lunch, dîner, boissons est extrêmement long ! Les boissons et la nourriture sont chers par rapport à la qualité ! Ça nous a un peu gâché le séjour et nous ne sommes pas les seuls à l’avoir dit …

Le cadre est exceptionnel, le personnel est agréable !
Nous avions réservé un système de navette pour 12h et avions donc organisé la suite de notre journée en conséquence. On n’a oublié de nous réserver la navette, et on a dû attendre 3h (donc 15h) avant qu’un chauffeur vienne nous récupérer. Heureusement le personnel est adorable et nous a proposé une boisson et un plat pour patienter.
2e point négatif : le repas proposé n’est pas exceptionnel et le service est lent. Nous avons pris un couscous au poulet et la quantité de poulet était vraiment dérisoire. Aussi, la qualité du plat était inférieur à tous les autres petits restaus biens moins chers que nous avions testé à Marrakech auparavant.

The pool views of the Atlas mountains and the Dessert. The rooms are OK. Not as picturesque as in photos or insta. Generally a bit shabby to be honest. The pools are lovely, the big one with stunning views is heated which is a must as although lovely weather the water in the unheated one is definitely too cold this time of year.
Receptionists were generally quite accommodating. Check in isn't until 3pm, but you can use the facilities beforehand. Breakfast is a lovely feast. The general experience of being in the middle of nowhere is quite relaxing.
Service is absolutely dreadful. Most waiters are really rude and judgmental I came away feeling really judged and tense.
They would mutter things under their breathe whilst serving you in Arabic and then give you a false smile.
All the furniture and carpets on terrace on our tent were absolutely soaking so there wasn't any where we could actually sit out on our balcony for two days, we called to ask for a chair but were ignored.
The illumination and path from the tents to the facilities is practically non existent and the restaurant is slow and generally not very good.
Very disappointing.

We traveled out of season (January) and it was incredible. The days were warm and the evenings cool. This is a perfect oasis a 40min drive from the airport, and a one-night stay for us, but never once felt rushed. The pool was ice cold (too cold!) but we relaxed by the pool, the bar serves (alcoholic) drinks we and hiked up the hill behind the camp for an incredible sunset on the recommendation of staff. We were welcomed with a bowl of fruit in our room, the restaurant was fabulous (we sat out on the deck) and the room so much more than expected -- the room was glass-fronted, with a separate toilet and shower, with views over the desert and bath on the deck. We traveled with our 4-year-old, she adored the camels and the swing and was enchanted by the whole property.
Everything was gorgeous. We left it too late to book for the outdoor/ under the sky dinner, but it was likely too cold with a little one (but book in advance if you want to do this!)

Private Dinner in the Desert:
During our private dinner, the level of privacy promised was not delivered. We were able to see another couple just a few meters away, diminishing the exclusive and intimate atmosphere we anticipated. Furthermore, the setting was marred by a lack of proper lighting, with two out of four lights not functioning. The waiter failed to light the candle, and despite our request, no further attempts were made to rectify the situation.
The limited menu options provided were also disheartening, as we were expecting a selection from the advertised array of choices. The menus offered were not only limited but also the most economical options, leaving us with the impression that the experience was not as exclusive and luxurious as promised. To make matters worse, the quality of the food was subpar, served cold, and in portions that left us unsatisfied. The service was notably unfriendly and unprofessional, and we felt uncomfortable throughout the evening.
Buggy Tour:
Our experience with the Buggy Tour was similarly disappointing. The advertised one-hour tour was cut short, with only 35 minutes of actual driving time. Delays at the start (12 min) and a prolonged break (15 mins) during the tour further contributed to our dissatisfaction. We expected a full hour of adventure, and the deviation from the promised itinerary left us feeling shortchanged and overcharged.
Pool Condition and Overall Service:
The pool, a significant attraction for us when booking the camp, was unfortunately unusable. It was completely freezing, and several other guests we spoke to shared the same sentiment. Despite our hopes of enjoying the nice infinity pool, we could not use it even once during our stay. Additionally, the overall service level was consistently below the standard one would expect from a luxury camp.

The massage area and hammam is not clean. There are flys everywhere in the massage and the hammam is not well taken care of for a luxury spa.

Las instalaciones son una maravilla y la atención por parte del personal fue fantástica. En la habitación no hace frío, que era el mayor miedo que teníamos por pasar una noche en el desierto. Merece la pena aprovechar el día al máximo allí para disfrutar de la piscina, la bañera de la terraza y demás prestaciones que ofrece el hotel.
El precio es algo elevado porque hay que añadir el desplazamiento hasta allí, pero bueno…para una noche especial merece la pena.

Servizio inesistente e struttura da rinnovare: ci siamo dovuti portare da soli i bagagli in stanza, nonostante ci fossero tanti dipendenti nella reception a guardarci - siamo arrivati alle 15, orario di check-in e abbiamo dovuto chiedere tre volte che ci accompagnassero in camera perché non ci davano le chiavi dopo il welcome drink; arriviamo nella stanza (non funzionava l’elettricità, la cassaforte aveva le batterie scariche e non si apriva, la vasca da bagno sul terrazzo esterno era scrostata e poco invitante, e inutilizzabile poiché priva di tappo e l’ho dovuto richiedere). In generale, la stanza presentava numerose problematiche (la doccia era piena di calcare o non era stata pulita a dovere poiché non riuscivano ad uscire gli schizzi per quante incrostazioni presentava…poi il lavandino era tutto rigato e scrostato) un vero peccato. Ma la cosa peggiore e mai vista prima è stata che, invece di essere un rifugio relax, gli ospiti nei ristoranti e in piscina erano costretti ad assistere ai lavori di ampliamento della struttura con continue martellate, montagne di terra e via vai dei mezzi di trasporto che tutto facevano tranne che far rilassare gli ospiti. Una vera follia!!!

Het uitzicht, de tenten en het zwembad zijn geweldig! Je hebt het gevoel midden in de Sahara te zijn. De combinatie van 3 dagen in de Medina en daarna een nacht in dit kamp is heerlijk. De route van de Medina naar het kamp geeft je direct een indruk van de buitenwijken van Marrakesh.
Onze verwachtingen van het restaurant waren wat hoger. De bediening was een beetje ongeïnteresseerd en wij hebben in de Medina soms lekkerder gegeten dan in hier.

Un decor de reve, le site est splendide, les bungallows ont une vue magnifique sur le desert avec tres peu de vis â vis. La terrasse avec le lit exterieur et la baignoire invite au repos. La piscine est magnifique meme si l’eau etait trop froide pour qu’on l’utilise

El hotel es muy bonito, las vistas espectaculares, y la tienda es muy confortable. Es perfecto para una noche, para disfrutar de la piscinas y de las vistas, y de la tranquilidad del sitio.
El staff no es muy amable y no transmite confianza acerca de la información transmitida. No tienen mucha atención al detalle. Hay que tener en cuenta que es un hotel en el desierto y que hay limitaciones (calidad de la ducha, precios etc)

The location! The room was very spacious and the bed very comfortable. The reception staff and some of the restaurant and bar were super nice and very helpful. Beautiful pool.
The chairs and tables at the restaurant and bar were dirty… the food menus were also not clean. Apart from 2 boys at the restaurant that were extremely nice and helpful the rest seemed a bit annoyed and not friendly. The towels in the room were very old with holes and stains. Some details need to be improved as it is supposed to be a luxury camp.
