We had a great stay at H-Avenue. We received a very friendly welcome from the reception staff, who were very thorough at explaining everything we needed to know. The room was great - bigger than we had expected considering rooms in major cities can typically be on the small side - so that was a really nice surprise! The bed especially was large and comfortable. The location of the hotel is also fantastic - it's in the bustling area of Seomyeon which is not only great for transport connections but also for proximity to bars, restaurants and shopping. Despite the big energy of the neighbourhood, the hotel itself is very quiet and we had zero issues with outside noise filtering through. The value for money for this stay was excellent.
There was an option to add breakfast but it was quite limited so we didn't go for this option. But this wasn't a big problem because there are lots of great cafe's in the area - I can especially recommend Blackup coffee which is a short walk from the hotel, opens earlier than many other cafe's and does great coffee, pastries and has a wonderful staff / experience.

Close to convenience stores, eateries, shopping - everything. Staff were friendly.
Could do with more hooks or rails in the bathroom.

Centrally located and the staff were extremely friendly offering us advice on things to do and always smiling.
The room did not have a bath as advertised which was explained on check in but a bit disappointing. The room for three was very tight. No wardrobe space. Ok for a short stay.

+ Great value for money. No-frills but comfortable.
+ Located on the outskirts of the city centre but an easy walk to the main shopping areas.
+ The receptionist, Park, was very welcoming and friendly. Without us having to ask, he offered to lend us umbrellas. We were able to leave our bags before check in, and were allowed to check in an hour early.
+ The room was a good size with a comfortable bed and a sofa.
+ The bathroom lighting was great - the best we had in the range of hotels we stayed at in Korea.
+ It was good to have an openable window and individual room air conditioner.
+ Plenty of space to put luggage.
+ We didn't use it but there was a clothes steam press in the room!
- Unfortunately our stay was marred by the smell of stale smoke that came as soon as we turned on the air conditioner. Even when we turned off the air conditioner the room still stunk of stale smoke. A shame as it is a no-smoking hotel and the room would have been perfect otherwise.
