Really clean, tidy and spacious.
The only negative was the poor WI-FI signal

The cottage was very attractive, modern and tastefully decorated. I liked that there were 2 bathrooms, there was a kitchen/dining area together, a big living area, plenty of storage drawers etc, a few small toys for the kids and adult puzzles, wifi, prompt taxi service, plenty of pillows and duvets (to sleep 6 anyway), the towels smelt lovely and Paula brought us more when I asked, if I needed Paula she responded straight away by text or in person, the furnishings appeared fairly new, it was clean, the huge opening doors to the view in the kitchen, the lovely big table with nice chairs and table cloth to sit at, hoover and iron/board, the powerful (too powerful?) shower in passage, the horses coming by and the friendly family run working farm.
The 'patio' area to be smarter, the tables and chairs are tired. That you couldn't go out the front. We have a crawling baby and a 4 year old and that would have been ideal, the patio area wasn't. The sun was belting down at the back too, which was too hot for anyone. I understand if it's for privacy reasons though, but am sure a solution could be found.
The sofa bed was broken. It collapsed a bit when you put weight on it. Someone had had a go at fixing it with gaffer tape but Paula said she didn't know it was broken. Fortunately the master bed is huge so 2 adults and a 4 year old fitted in there but it could have made things very difficult. However I asked Paula to come and help and she did, offering solutions until we were happy, but I feel I've paid a lot of money of the sofa bed to be broken and for us to discover that as we're going to bed when we're up frequently with a baby in the night and sleep is precious. It wasn't obvious where the bedding for the sofa bed was either.
Cracked tile in the kitchen on the step, I felt that should have been temporarily fixed/taped/glued for our stay, we shouldn't have to watch the kids re a potential hazard.
The rubber at bottom of glass shower door in corridor bathroom should be replaced too as it looks very worn and unattractive.
It was uncomfortably hot in the cottage on the first evening. Thank goodness we'd taken a floor fan. The windows only open a tiny amount and it would have been unbearable. You can't leave the windows open on road side as it's too noisy from the traffic and too many flies get in the kitchen to leave the patio doors open overnight, prob not safe anyway. Yes we were told about the heating if needed but the heat is just as bad. Fans should be available if needed and we had ours on constantly. We only had a small tower fan and it was sufficient.
Old/cheap Tbags in kitchen.

A very good central location for visiting areas around Northumberland. Easy access to major connecting roads. Very well set up kitchen for self catering. Good facilities for a relaxing stay.
