This cottage was really beautifully decorated and well equipped. My favourite thing was sitting at the dining table, looking up at the hills with bright sunlight streaming through the windows. The lounge was very comfortable and relaxing too. We ended up cooking a few meals and everything we needed was in the cottage. It was very clean. It was a good location as lots of great places were within easy travelling distance. We ate at Holker Hall, swam and went paddle boarding at Coniston Boat Hire, visited Hawkshead and bought great food at Sizergh Barn Shop. My son loved moutain biking at Grizedale. It is very close to Grange and great for walking at Humphrey Head or along The Prom in Grange.
We found the beds a bit hard but others might prefer them like that. No real disadvantages apart from that I hadn't booked for longer which was my fault.

Good value for money with comfortable furnishings. Warm and welcoming.
Great range of kitchen equipment which was perfect for us as we enjoy home cooked meals.
Lovely views from extended kitchen. The garage was useful for our bikes.
Handy shop nearby.
The owner was super communicative sending me details of nearby walks and runs.

Lovely place with a lovely view. Very spacious. Quiet village. Lovely places on the doorstep for the children like the park and biking track. Beds were comfortable.
The parking wasn't the best as the spaces were always taken. Could do with more t v 's in the house with it being a 3 bedroom property there aas none in any of the bedrooms which was abit if a problem when you have multiple children at different ages. There was an awful smell in the downstairs hallways coming from the cupboard under the stairs.
