The property is a wonderful size, a really good space to get together around the large kitchen table or gather in the games room, there is space for everyone. The kitchen is well equipped. It’s an interesting property, location is good, the village shop is excellent, pubs are close by and walks from the door up onto Dean Hill.
The property is in need of a bit of tlc, it didn’t detract from our stay at all but there are a few simple jobs that would tidy up the outside at least, the boarding is cracked, benches weren’t safe and bins were untidy with waste on the ground.
However the biggest issue was trying to find out about the room layout as different booking platforms described it in different ways (for info there are 2xbunkbeds which would fit adults) but Sykes direct wouldn’t help in confirming this or acknowledge that there was a discrepancy or even look into it which is a shame for a company with a good reputation. It wouldn’t stop me from booking again (but not direct with Sykes).

The Methodist Chapel was perfect for a large family gathering especially for teenagers. Big games room in the main Chapel with plenty of seating, a piano, a pool table, table tennis and football game.Great to get kids away from their computers. Great base for visits to New Forest or Paultons Park.
The entrance to the school building had broken decking outside which needs repairing because a bit of a trip hazard.

De informatie die ik maar niet kreeg over de sleutel en wifi en de sterk verouderde info die daar aanwezig is. Het verdient een 2024 info map😜

The games room was so much fun - snooker table and table tennis table were really big hits.
The large kitchen table was ideal for a big family get together.
The host was friendly and the chapel was pre-heated to a lovely temperature.
The chairs in the kitchen need replacing - some missing backs, splintering wooden seats and screws and rusty back of chairs snagging clothes and staining material.
Towels were provided but not as many as the number of people in the booking/beds in the house.
