The apartment is very pleasing, modern, clean and tastefully furnished.unfortunately as we had not received the promised detailed location instructions, we did struggle to find the property.
We liked the decor, the space, the light and airy atmosphere.

Property was clean and comfortable with reasonable access to grocery shops and places to eat. Once you find it, there is also a really lovely back way to the river towpath just a 15 minute walk into the centre of Durham.
Finding the place was a trial, especially given poor lighting in the area. The street where the property is located (Grove House Drive) is not listed on Booking.com address adding to the difficulty (even a local taxi struggled). There is no signage to the driveway. Once we got there, we were locked out as the lock was on the snib (why such a lock was on the door was beyond us). The host did put us up elsewhere but this issue could have been avoided.
There was a general lack of attention to detail: no bin bags, no oven gloves, no coffee machine (though there were instructions and an empty box). Just enough crockery for the two of us. The single beds were comfortable enough but also the narrowest bed I've ever slept in.

The hosts were lovely and let us check in 5 hours early. It was spacious, clean, very very quiet and well equipped.
It was a bit of a schlep out of town after a cheery night out. The route down to the river was useful but steep! However, its a super short, cheap taxi ride in a very quiet, safe neighbourhood near shops. I'm lazy so don't let this put you off.

We were self sufficient.
The property was difficult to.find. one shared bathroom and toilet was not enough. Stairs within the property were a bit dangerous. Insufficient towels and bedding needed to.be changed more frequently. No outdoor sitting area.Th
