What a pleasant surprise! We stayed for only one night and arrived with our bicycles. We received a very warm welcome by Piet. He immediatly made us feel at home - he had even made a fire in the fireplace for us, so we could warm up after our ride (the weather was quite cold and rainy). Ludwine arrived a little later and greeted us just as nice. She had already turned on the heating in the bathroom, again because they had expected we were rather cold on our ride.
Both went far beyond what you could normally expect in terms of friendliness and hospitality.
The room is situated inside a very beautiful old, but perfectly renovated house, the beds were comfy, the bathing room was very spacious and clean. We had access to a "chill out zone" in the barn, with a fireplace and a fridge with local beers (and other drinks) for a low price. For dinner Piet had several recommendations near by, we decided to go to the brasserie "De Route". Ludwine made the reservation for us and we were very pleased by the quality of the food.
The garden behind the house is a little paradise of its own.
A great breakfast was served with homemade jams and granola, fresh fruit and good coffee. Additionally we received eggs made to our wishes.
When we had to leave there was a very warm good bye.
All in all an oustanding place to stay.
