By Road The drive to Mission Beach from Cairns is 1.5 to 2 hours along Highway No 1 - also referred to as The Bruce Highway. It takes you through the heart of the region’s sugar cane and banana farming communities. South of Innisfail at the small township called El Arish turn left from the Highway. (Opposite El Arish Golf Course). The distance to Mission Beach is approx. 16km travelling through amazing World Heritage listed rainforest.
