Amazing location and quick walk to the beach . Much quieter side of Naxos.Lovely host Nadia who helped with anything and everything! The villa is really lovely and the outdoor area is fantastic for barbecuing and sitting by the pool
Needed a few more cooking utensils and serving dishes and wine glasses. The upstairs balcony of the main bedroom could have done with a table and chairs for morning coffee. Two chairs felt a little cold and unwelcoming. A lovely pot plant and making something of that space as the view from there is incredible would be nice.

The property was perfect. Very comfortable and loads of space for the 7 of us. It was an incredibly hot week so the individual AC units in each bedroom and the living room were very appreciated. The property was very clean and well maintained. We lived in the pool and that was serviced and cleaned regularly. Nadia, the host, was absolutely delightful. On our arrival she had prepared a welcome platter of food with fresh sandwiches, fruit and other gourmet produce. It was very appreciated. There was also washing powder, cleaning products etc readily available in the house. One afternoon she dropped us in boxes of delicious fresh Greek pastries that were such a treat! What a lovely, generous host! We loved hearing the neighbours goats with their bells around their necks in the mornings and evenings.
A car was necessary. You could walk to the beach but really to get to the supermarket and the few restaurants around you need a car. Kastraki is very quiet and quite isolated which we didn’t mind.

Extremely comfortable and luxurious property with Wi-Fi extended upstairs and downstairs.
A private pool which we used only a few times due to the April weather where the views from the outside are breathtaking.
The jacuzzi was great and the 4 bedrooms were spacious.
2 bedrooms and a large bathroom are in the basement (with windows), keeping it cool, but the air conditioning was able to circulate heat for the colder nights. It would have been great to have some shelving for shampoo bottles, etc, near the bath itself. The shower hose is attached to the massive bath but not secured to the wall so a lack of shelving leads to soaking the floor which isn’t a big deal, as there are many towels to use to mop it up.
There is also a utility room in the basement with a clothes horse, iron, and ironing board an extra fridge, hoover, dustpan and brush. There is also space there for luggage.
The washing machine in the basement is adequate, but basic and programmes are timely; The washing line is outside and there is no tumble dryer - you can’t leave wet clothes out at night as dust will be deposited from the wind - there are launderettes in The Old Town.
Two shower rooms with toilets are on the ground and top floors. The top-floor shower only had light emitted from behind the mirror - it was much darker than the other showers.
The upper level also has an outside balcony with comfortable seating and splendid views.
There are many dining areas and a small BBQ, to allow you to capture the traversing sun.
There is a water hose at the front entrance, to clean the sand coming from the sea or your car, and an outdoor shower at the back of the property for use before/ after being in the pool.
Adequate front parking for at least two large cars.
The warm-hearted, kind, and professional Nadia, who also understands and speaks English, was a welcome complement to the excellent accommodation.

This exquisite property is a 5-minute walk to the magnificent, local beach and a short drive to many other beaches, tavernas & scenic locations/areas of interest on the island.
Bakery/supermarkets close by. Campos Market is ideal for vegans and the only place selling plant-based burgers and vegan yoghurts.
Nadia arrived following our text request, bringing smaller bowls and a medium-sized saucepan, as well as some ladles and spoons we needed which we loved.
A few more plug sockets would be great, especially for the ground floor bedroom or sockets with USB incorporated. Nadia did provide some extension leads suited to UK/GREECE.
There is no gym equipment – my teenage son would have been ecstatic if there were some weights or a treadmill - There are gyms on the island with day passes, etc for keep-fit enthusiasts.
We were two families of 4+2 and had ample space.
Nadia, (Dr Nadia 😄) was an excellent host. On our arrival, she welcomed us with yummy fresh sandwiches and drinks as well as basics like tea, coffee, bread, and milk. Her hospitality was extended throughout our stay, whether delivering birthday cake, telling us how to bypass the solar-powered boiler, or having the property maintained by her team, such as the swimming pool and jacuzzi. She provided contact details for a local barber, and more, including Actionseaze yachting that would take us on a catamaran for a 2-hour sunset cruise, and to view directly, the small Panagia Parthena island, with only a white church and birds dwelling on it.
DISLIKES:
These are all minor in my opinion and not essential, as this property and host are so close to perfection. If you are accompanied by a seasoned traveller, these things may be more of an issue for you.
No safe on the property - although it seems secure, this would have given extra comfort.
No cheese grater - grated cheese can be purchased at most grocery stores.
No microwave - for ease of heating leftovers in our case.

We loved the close proximity to the beach and that is was a short drive to many locations on the island
It was so nice to have a private pool and jacuzzi as well
The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and well appointed
2 good restaurants and a bakery were also close by
The only thing that was uncomfortable about the house was the built in couch in the living room
