8 people from the same wine club in Hawke’s Bay decided to have a trip away in Martinborough. Our stay at Blackbarn Modern was lovely, very handy to everything a lovely area to explore and lots of lovely wine and food. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

It is a lovely modern, warm and spacious home and perfect for a group. As it was cold and raining during our trip we appreciated this. A few things to improve on for perfection would be: the wifi connection is poor and although we reset the modem we experienced continued buffering. One of the bedroom headboards (navy) was covered in dust. Better quality pillows and sheets. Overall we had a lovely stay and would stay again.

Beautiful modern home with loads of space, great indoor-outdoor flow, all the streaming services you might need and access to a private community swimming pool and tennis court. The whole-house air-conditioning makes it ideal for toasty summer vacations. Very responsive service from the property owners. Highly recommended.

Absolutely stunning home, perfect location. I would highly recommend this place for sure. The tennis courts and pool looked fantastic although it was winter months so wasn't able to use, the spa pool was bliss and this home has amazing flow to the outdoors. It was super clean and the beds were so comfy.

This house has everything you'll need for a weekend in the Wairarapa - lush surroundings, great location an easy walk from the main town square. The house itself is finished to a high standard, with everything you could need for a weekend of bbq's and outdoor entertaining. Our group of 8 adults found it comfortable & spacious. Will definitely be staying again!
