Clean, Comfortable Garden Studio In-Law Unit
About this condo rental
Situated in Corte Madera, this lovely condo for $109 per night is a great option for your next trip. Hello! We have a studio in-law unit available in a garden setting. It is underneath my home, with a separate entrance. The property's back gate leads to the Sausalito-Mill Valley multi-use trail which takes you on a 4-mile walk to downtown Sausalito. It is a short 5 minute drive to downtown Mill Valley and Highway 101. About a mile down the bike path is a Whole Foods. Mill Valley is centrally located. 5 miles North of the Golden Gate Bridge, and San Francisco - Muir and Stinson beaches, Napa and Sonoma are just a short drive away. Newly updated, this clean, spacious unit has a king bed and a futon. Base rate is for 3 people. If you don't mind a tight squeeze, we are happy to add 2 floor mats for additional people. Kitchenette includes sink, fridge, toaster oven and microwave. Lots of street parking. The rental has its own heating unit. Lots of DVDs to enjoy at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Wi-Fi included. Caveats: No cable, just DVDs and wifi. The rental is at the bottom of a driveway and also about 8 long stairs, in case there are mobility issues. It is also underneath the main house, so you may hear foot or dog traffic. During summer months, teens may be hanging out in the backyard which is next to the unit. No air conditioning. The unit is near an unfenced pool. Verizon gets poor reception in the area.

The pictures and description on Vrbo were spot on, so there were no surprises. The place was clean, safe, quiet, and in a great location. We had dogs with us and made great use of the multi-use trail behind the house. The hosts were pleasant and respected our privacy. The tea and coffee bags were a nice welcoming touch. I would recommend this place to others.

I will stay here again on my next trip to Mill Valley and Marin County. I returned to Mill Valley for a visit with friends and former neighbors after living there for 25 years. I chose Ahtossa and Rick’s property as my home base during the visit. Couldn’t be happier with my stay. The location is ideal - just minutes to downtown Mill Valley and/or Sausalito. Plus, the bike/walking path between Mill Valley and Sausalito is right there! This was an added benefit for walking my dog in the morning. The unit was exactly as advertised and described in the listing. Very clean, everything I needed, and as others have said there is an amazingly comfortable king size bed! Ahtossa and Rick were available if needed while also respecting my privacy. Generally speaking, just an awesome experience. I’ll return for sure.

Verizon did not work and had to leave early, no refund.

For Mill Valley, this property is NOT worth it ! You should check it out, the shower is a joke ! The refrigerator works but is IT noisy ! Also the swimming pool is really in need of re-wing. The pictures do NOT reflect, what it really is, it does VRBO a disservice !

This studio under the owner's house is cozy and comfortable. The king mattress was better than our mattress at home. We especially appreciated the easy access to the paved public path behind the house, an easy walk with our little dog into the hills or downtown Mill Valley.

Valentines weekend in Mill Valley
Pictures and reviews were accurate. The location is amazing the back gate leads right out onto the walking/bike trail that can take you to Sausalito and Tiberon and a short 30 minutes over the hill to Stinson Beach. We actually walked into Mill Valley which is about 1.6 miles from the house and very doable if you are active. If you are looking for a property that is NOT attached to a home this is not for you. You are underneath the main house which was not an issue for us. They are pet friendly and my wiener dog loved the trip. Bed was super comfortable. Would stay here again the location is ideal for hitting lots of places in one weekend.

Glad to have the option while my family in the area had taken ill, and I was looking for a small accommodation in the area while I worked in SF. I like taking the ferry in, and the short 'reverse commute' made for an ideal experience.

Peaceful Comfort, Lovely Host Raining outside, warm & cozy inside.
Spacious yet snug & cozy, a clean & comfortable unit in a charming woodsy Mill Valley neighborhood-right on top of biking/hiking trails - or just a fast few minutes drive to downtown plaza (dining, shopping, theatre, music etc.)Has a dreamy plush bed, toaster oven, microwave, full-sized refrigerator, electric kettle, French press, flat screen tv w/lots of dvds- linens, towels, extra blankets provided.
Wonderful host Ahtossa is completely available but gives guests total privacy.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we Thank You once more Ahtossa for Everything, Merci!
Easy access to Golden Gate Bridge-quick 20 min. to SF -right next door to North bay cities-Sausalito, Tiburon, Larkspur down the road from San Rafael, Novato, Stinson Beach,Marin.
