About this condo rental
Nestled in Bergerac, this charming condo for $173 per night is a great option for your next vacation. A superb, large ground floor apartment in this ancient building, with stunning views of the river. A private walled garden to relax in, and close to all you can possibly see in the lovely town of Bergerac. The garden faces south overlooking the river. There is controlled parking outside the property and plenty of free parking five minutes away by the river. There is a large fitted kitchen with dining table and four dining chairs , a welsh dresser filled with all the crockery needed . Wine glasses, coffee machine, .... a great oven and microwave, ideal if you fancy a night in! There is a large double bedroom, with a king sized bed, and a doorway leading out to your private garden. The bedroom and salon are fitted with double glazed windows and doors . A fully fitted en suite with huge shower, separate toilet, plus an extra small toilet situated on the other side in the hallway. Soft towels, shampoo, shower gel and dressing gowns are provided for your comfort, a hairdryer and extra pillow and plenty of drawer and hanging space for your clothes. The salon is spacious and relaxing, with settee, chairs, WiFi, a DVD player and dvd library, chess set, and games, books available, and a music box to connect to your iPhone. The beauty of this characterful property is the panoramic views from the south facing garden, and the close proximity to all shops, and restaurants in the town. It,s location is very special, and during the summer months an ideal place to relax and watch the world go by on the river. The walled garden has a small grass lawn, and an eating area under a canopy to protect you from the sun in the summer months, where you can eat at the dining table and absorb the river views. There is outdoor lighting, and a small outhouse with sun loungers if needed. The airport is only ten minutes away and there is an abundance of wonderful paces to visit in the area. The restaurants, shops, market are all 2 minutes walk from your kitchen door, and you have a wealth of wonderful walks nearby. The Musee du Tabac is virtually behind the property, as well as the Wine Museum, with tiny streets to explore in the oldest part of the town. This is a truly romantic location, and one of the very few in Bergerac with such stunning views. The apartment itself is full of natural light and a huge amount of space, with the added bonus of a courtyard garden with nothing to gaze upon other than the beautiful river. If restaurants are your thing, all are in walking distance of the apartment, so no taxis or driving necessary The apartment is fitted with super fast wifi, DVD player and music, plus games in the cupboard! The benefits of this stunning apartment is the situation overlooking the river, and the private garden, the enormous amount of space you have, but not only that, you are set in the heart of this beautiful little town and all it has to offer. The markets are a riot of foodie heaven , with little quirky streets to explore, and soak in the history of this stunning Medieval town. The house itself is one of the oldest in Bergerac, but offers everything you could wish for to make your holiday feel just that bit special. There is an offer of airport pickup if required, and there are many wine tours available in the area, as it is situated in one of the most stunning wine areas in France. Just walk outside your kitchen door, and you have magical riverside walks that go for miles. This apartment will bathe you in sunlight and wrap you in the history of the Dordogne, as well as offering you complete privacy from the rest of the world. This is the first year that this property has been available as a holiday home, as, before it has always been a private residence. It is truly a special place to stay. By the way, we have just installed a dishwasher!!!,

A lovely, well situated apartment. In addition to a beautiful view, it is within walking distance of shops, cafes and restaurants, and the tourist office. Access to a relaxing boat ride and a small open air train ride around the city are also close by. I especially liked all the reading material around including tourist info. A thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Fabulous apartment, incredibly spacious, well furnished and great views from the terrace of the Dordogne. Just a few steps away from restaurants, bars right in the centre of Bergerac. Easy parking too which is always a consideration in a town centre. Thanks to Clare for making it such an enjoyable stay!

The aparment is sublime. Decorated tastefully, spotlessly clean, and the garden and the view is just divine.

Each stay was a positive, memorable experience, however Clare's riverside apartment in Bergerac topped them all. The property itself is a stunner, with a private garden overlooking the Dordogne. What made our stay so extraordinary though, were the thoughtful, generous touches that Clare imparted to the space. Clare is your perfect host-- an astute (British) businesswoman with the grace and charm of the French.

Quite comfortable place for experiencing Bergerac. Nicely decorated and supplied. Lovely towels and linens. The bathrobe was a super plus if you travel light. Many meals and wine on lovely terrace overlooking the river. Everything was convenient. It is on a major street, so some car noise but we still enjoyed our stay tremendously.

Clare was so nice. It was our 51st anniversary during our 5 night stay. Clare prepared a picnic lunch for us, including a bottle of champagne! The apartment was great, very large, everything one needs to feel at home.Location was great, free parking right down the street. Many great restaurants literally within a 5 minute walk. Outside patio out back overlooked the river. We spent time out there each morning with our coffee, and each early evening before heading out to dinner. Really felt like a local during our stay. Oh, and did I mention there is a full bathroom and also a half bath.Would highly recommend this property for the overall experience!

Stayed for 6 nights in this amazing apartment in the old town. There was everything you needed in the apartment and more plus a private garden overlooking the river Dordogne, ideal for watching the sunset whilst enjoying a glass of the local wine! Superb restaurants nearby but advisable to book as soon as you arrive! Clare is a great host and we really appreciated being met at the airport on arrival and being taken back at the end of our stay. A perfect gem for a stay in the beautiful medieval town of Bergerac. Thank you!!

There’s a nice little garden overlooking the river, with a shady corner and table and chairs. A nice spot to sit with a glass of wine or a book. Noise from the road can’t be heard indoors but can be a little intrusive at times when outdoors. However this is a minor detail - we’ve had a lovely 6 night stay. Thank you Clare and John.

Stunning Apartment
We stayed in this wonderful apartment close to Bergerac with a terrace that overlooks the Dordogne. Clare has furnished this characteristic stone property where we felt we were living a typical french lifestyle. Watching the sunset on a very warm evening with a glass of wine made our 20th year wedding anniversary extra special. Plenty of restaurants nearby which were reasonably priced and wine to match we will definitely be visiting again. Clare the owner was really lovely and we cannot thank her enough for making us feel so welcome

Wonderful stay
We stayed in Bergerac for the week. Such a beautiful place and the apartment matched this. As well as being ideally situated for getting around Bergerac itself, the apartment was very spacious, tastefully decorated and was very well equipped. We found ourselves just sitting enjoying the lovely view from the garden most evenings! Clare was a very attentive host. We took advantage of her offer of a lift from and to the airport which made things very stress free, and the buffet she’d left out for us on our arrival was very much appreciated! We loved our stay.

Simply perfect! If you stay here you won't regret it.
The property is absolutely stunning. In the heart of medieval Bergerac, you are walking distance from all the local amenities. The high ceilings and luxurious furnishings make it feel like you are in a mansion. The garden is an absolute delight. We spent every lunch sat on the patio watching the world go by with the backdrop of the Dordogne river and the quay.
The kitchen is large and has every pot, pan, plate, dish, utensil and gadget you could ever need (not that we did much cooking). The lounge is the sort of place I'd like to revisit in the winter. Despite being large it felt cozy and comfortable and the thought of being curled up under a big blanket with a good book and a glass of wine was very inviting. The bedroom is airy and cool and the bed was excellent, so much so getting up in the morning was often difficult.
Clare is a wonderful host who does all she can to make you feel at home. It felt like she was an old friend who had put us up for a week. She is only 10 minutes away if any problems did arise, not that they did.
We absolutely loved it and are already planning our next trip.

The apartment is in the perfect location for exploring the beautiful medieval town of Bergerac. There are cafés and restaurants just up the road. Clare, our host for the week, was there to greet us and show us where everything was . She remained available for any questions we had ...... the only one being about the Wi-fi, which worked well. Her apartment is exquisitely furnished..... like something out of an ideal home magazine ! Wooden floors, lovely rugs and lamps. She had stocked the fridge and cupboard with food essentials and left a bottle of red wine plus olives and charcuterie for our arrival. It is the best apartment we have stayed in so far....... more like a beautiful home than a holiday rental. We will definitely stay here again and I wouldn’t hesitate to strongly recommend it. Clare is the perfect host..... helpful but unintrusive. Thank you so much Clare for a wonderful stay in your beautiful apartment.
