Secluded Catskill Mountain Log Cabin, Breathtaking Vista, Private, Relaxing
About this cabin rental
Located in Olive, this charming cabin for $612 per night is a great option for your next break. The cabin is cozy and rustic looking but with modern comforts. Featuring a large stone fireplace and expansive deck, great for reading, relaxing watching birds and animals, grilling or cocktails at sunset. We feature accommodations that are comfortable for a romantic weekend for 2 or up to 14 guests (8 adults and up to 6 children) in three bedrooms and loft. During the spring/summer, we have room for 5 guests with full bathroom and bedroom above the log garage. The cabin bedrooms have AC. The master bedroom has a king size bed, ceiling fan and full bath. There is a sleeping porch off the master bedroom with a queen bed. On the first floor, one bedroom has a queen bed and bunk bed, the other bedroom contains two bunk beds and a trundle sleeping up to five. The loft has a twin bed. Legally we can only rent to 8 adults and 6 children. Our log cabin mountain retreat is a 2000 square foot vacation home. It is located on private and secluded Tonche Mountain within minutes of fine dining and shops in the historic town of Woodstock. You will need to travel several miles of private road (great for walking and spectacular views) before reaching the cabin. The cabin is situated on 25 acres of secluded woods surrounded by hundreds of acres of private land and conservancy land. At 1200 ft. elevation you will have breathtaking views of the Catskill Mountains, valleys and sunsets. Wildlife is abundant and the mountain air is rejuvenating. The cabin is built exclusively of pine wood with hardwood oak floors and custom tile on the first floor with carpeting in the master bedroom and loft. The loft is a great place to read a book, play a game or take in the view through our telescope. Watch a movie or sports in HD in our new TV/Movie room with theater seating and 3 couches. Play ping pong, foosball or darts in our unfinished basement. Enjoy a horseshoe match, a game of volleyball, a round of badminton or the glow of a fire under a starry sky sitting around the fire pit. Impressive hand placed fieldstone rock walls complement the landscape Our home is child friendly and we have a crib, child gate, high chair and stroller. No pets. No smoking in the house. This property is fantastic. Perfect for a quiet getaway in the mountains but also relatively close to the village of Woodstock with the shopping and restaurants. The owners of the cabin are very responsive and keep the property immaculate

Wow! My fiancé and I booked this rental for our family and a few friends to spend a weekend together. We absolutely loved everything about the cabin. The views were incredible and more beautiful than the photos. The cabin is very modern and updated which was great, and we enjoyed using the kitchen, movie room, and game room during our stay. Just a note that the mountain roads are very steep so it's best to access the cabin via a larger car with 4 wheel drive. But we had no issues once we got the cabin and knew the way! We also pinned the location on our Apple Maps which was helpful. Appreciate the communication with the host and the cleanliness of the cabin. Would love to stay here again in the near future, it is a real treasure! If you're considering booking, open your heart to this wonderful little cabin and prepare for a fun, relaxing vacation--even if just for a weekend! Thanks again Jenny for being a wonderful host.

The pictures don't do it justice. The cabin is really cool, and a great amount of space with the second floor loft over the living room. The huge A-frame windows on the second floor and wall of sliding glass doors on the first show off a seriously impressive view. The wraparound deck with grill is awesome. The fire pit area with hammocks is very cool as well. And the volleyball court was a lot of fun! Plus with ping pong and home theater room in the basement the property really offers a lot. We stayed in the summer and were lucky to have perfect weather and access to the loft over the garage which provided nice extra space to spread out at night and adds another full bathroom. 10/10 would highly recommend!

The property was truly one of the most beautiful I've seen. The house was large, beds comfortable, and kitchen very well-appointed. The grounds were beautiful, very remote, and had a great view of the surrounding area.
The one caveat is that there's limited service, and the wifi was a bit slow our weekend. This didn't bother us since we were able to be even more present throughout the weekend. Truly had a blast, and hope to return soon!
