About this house rental

Dune I Townhome #12

Many returning guests to Dune Allen Beach reserve a spot at this oceanfront townhome year after year. It’s a tradition that started many years ago and continues today— and with good reason. With sleeping space for six across two spacious bedrooms, this oceanfront townhome is beach living at its best.

On the main floor, the kitchen, dining, and living spaces are open and inviting. The bright kitchen has a peninsula bar with seating for four people, and a glass dining table has room for six. The living area has cozy carpeting, comfy seating, a fireplace, and flatscreen television. Sliding glass doors lead out to a sun-drenched, screened-in deck with jaw-dropping views of the white sandy beach and the glittering aquamarine of the Gulf of Mexico.

Two bedrooms are located upstairs. The master suite is filled with Florida sunshine and has a king-sized bed, a vaulted ceiling, a small sitting area with a television, a vanity table, and an en suite bathroom. Two sliding glass doors provide dreamy views of the ocean and lead out to a private balcony— an ideal spot to relax and soak up the sun or stargaze. A generous second bedroom has a queen-sized bed and a sleeper sofa.

All of our Dune 1 Townhomes are immensely popular with returning guests. You simply can’t get any closer to the beach! Guests of Dune 1 Townhomes also have access to a sparkling, gulf front swimming pool and a private boardwalk down to the beach complete with an outdoor shower to wash off sandy toes. From March 1 to October 31, you’ll receive 2 beach chairs and 1 beach umbrella during your stay. You’ll also be within walking distance of local-favorite Stinky’s Fish Camp and only a mile from exciting Gulf Place Town Center for shopping, dining, and entertainment.

With breathtaking ocean views and easy access to all that Scenic Highway 30A has to offer, many guests consider Dune 1 Townhomes to be their beachfront home-away-from-home. All of the stress of packing up supplies for a beach day disappears at Dune 1—where you’re never more than a few steps away from sinking your toes in the warm sand and cool surf. Your whole family will fall in love with Dune 1 Townhomes. Reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis, so book early!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The view is unbeatable. The furnishings and appliances were great. If I owned the home, I'd want to make some improvements -- the screened in porch, an amazing spot to sit and start or tend the day -- needs some work. A few other little things not worth mentioning. Would I stay there again? Absolutely.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Pros:The townhome is right on the beach. No neighbors above or below.Chairs were setup every day on time. This specific townhome was far enough from the public access beach nearby. The screened in porch protected us from wind/sun/bugs (though we did not have any insects at the beach or in the townhome during our stay).Cons:The washer/dryer had problems during our stay. The master bedroom has a skylight which shines light through it all night long.Stinky's restaurant across the street plays live band music until about 10:30 PM basically every night. There were loud birds outside of our windows by the parking lot which woke us up every morning at dawn. While the screened in porch is nice, it is immediately adjacent to your neighbors' porches which reduces overall privacy (you can hear your neighbors if they're being noisy). In conclusion, it is a nice location for the price, the proximity to the beach, and the basic needs of a place to crash for a beach trip, but we did not appreciate the noise, light pollution for the master bedroom, and problems with the washer/dryer.

We had a great getaway at the beach. The location of the condo was fantastic. Literally steps to the beach! The unit itself is a bit outdated with several things in need of attention. Though it was clean, there were broken screens and doors (2 screen doors to the upstairs bedroom balcony were broken and lying on the balcony itself and the other one that was still attached was duct taped) crayon and other marks/scuffs on the walls and rust stains on appliances. There is also old carpet throughout the unit which felt damp due to being so close to the ocean. Overall we really enjoyed it and these minor issues didn’t affect our vacation, it just wasn’t what we expected.

Great location. The condo needed many updates. Kitchen cabinets were old and welted. Refrigerator door rusted. Kitchen had old used up pots, pans, and utensils. There were no extra blanket and sheets for the foldout beds. I’ve rented vacations homes at least 10 times and this was the least accommodating. No shampoo, soap or other necessities usually provided by the property, so bring your own. Usually most homes have salt, pepper and or spices left from other tenants but this place was empty. Barely had plates, glasses and cups to use. I would definitely recommend the location but maybe try a different condo unit Would I rent it again? YES if it was the only unit available but I know now I would need to buy or bring all necessities. So add that into your budget or packing.
