Located in Tesuque, this lovely house for $1,186 per night is a great option for your next vacation. El Torreón is a large comfortable hacienda available for retreats and quiet getaways. The home is made in traditional Santa Fe style; high ceilings, vigas (wood beams), massive walls making it warm in winter, cool in summer, kiva fireplaces, and an enclosed courtyard with a fountain and fruit trees. It’s five minutes to some of the most popular area restaurants: El Nido, Tesuque Market, Bishops Lodge (soon to reopen with an amazing new restaurant), and a few minutes more to either the plaza or the Santa Fe Opera. Since this home is part of a quiet community, we ask that it is not rented for parties or celebrations and that music stays at a reasonable indoor volume. In addition, this home is not pet friendly and we ask those with service animals to seek other accommodations as the owner is very allergic to all dogs even hypoallergenic ones. El Torreon, which means "The Tower," is surrounded by trees and water--Tesuque Creek on the west, and the Acequia Madre de Tesuque, a 300-year-old irrigation ditch, on the east. The area is known for its deciduous trees and cool valley location. El Torreon has numerous flagstone patios and portals (covered areas to relax and enjoy the surroundings), a large rooftop deck above with views of the creek and hillside, and an outdoor fireplace.  Its location is quiet and private. Deer sometimes wander down from mesa hill to the East which also has a great hiking/walking trail in addition to the Windsor Trail accessible by foot from Bishop's Lodge Road. The Acequia runs in the Spring and Summer months depending on water supplies.  Tesuque creek varies from a trickle in the summer months to an energetic torrent after a rainstorm in the mountains. This spectacular home has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. Two master bedrooms have beautiful king-size beds and kiva fireplaces, one private patio and with mountain views. There are two spacious bedrooms with Queen size beds, one with a kiva fireplace and French doors to the courtyard. The last bedroom contains two sets of bunk beds. 4.7 miles to the Plaza 1.8 miles to Tesuque Village which has two restaurants and the Village Market 5.0 miles to Santa Fe Opera PLEASE NOTE: - THIS HOME DOES NOT HAVE AIR CONDITIONING.
