Located in Surfside Beach, this lovely house for $625 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Escape to the serenity of the beach, wind, and waves. With an unparalleled beachfront view, Tranquility Base is the ideal place to relax, get away, and enjoy all that the gulf coast has to offer. Construction was completed on this exceptional, 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom home in October of 2017. Paying homage to the space history of nearby Houston, the beach house is named after the site on the Moon where humans first landed, the first words being, "Houston, Tranquility Base here. The Eagle has landed!" At Surfside Beach, you can find a place where the peaceful tranquility of this beach house is made possible by the earthly pleasures of the water, wind, and sand. Just steps away from the beach over the adjacent walkway, sit with your feet in the water or explore miles of surf and sand. Relax on the spacious upper deck with both covered and open areas, and have an unencumbered view for miles down the coast. Head down to the large shaded deck under the house for games and grilling. After catching your breath from the incomparable experiences outside, head inside to the beautiful, clean, and commodious living and sleeping areas. Our house is furnished and decorated with comfort, relaxation, and convenience in mind. The living accommodations include: - Living room: three big windows looking out to the ocean, a large flat screen TV with Blu-ray player, one couch, one sleeper sofa, and two swivel/reclining chairs - Dining area: large table that seats eight, bar stool seating for eight, a high chair, and small toddler table with chairs - Master bedroom: one king Tempur-Pedic bed, large dresser, wardrobe cabinet, flat screen TV, private balcony, and private bathroom with a bathtub/shower - 2nd bedroom: one king Restonic bed, two twin bunks, and a fold out twin lounger. Room also has flat screen TV, large closet, and roomy private bathroom with standing shower - 3rd bedroom: one king Tempur-Pedic bed, dresser, closet, shared full bathroom, and private balcony - 4th bedroom: two queen beds with two custom-built twin beds. Room also includes large closet, shared full bathroom, and private balcony All bedrooms are spacious. A pack-n-play along with sheet is provided. The living room closet contains adult and children games and children's toys. The kitchen is fully stocked and will meet all of your cooking/baking needs. Stainless steel appliances are all new, and the reverse osmosis system provides high-quality drinking water. A full-service laundry room is available for use. The deck has four tall wooden chairs along with two rocking chairs and adirondack chairs. Feel free to spend countless hours here during the day and at night. On the lower deck you will find an Old Smokey grill to use as well as a picnic table. Ample parking is available under the house and along the driveway, as the property extends all the way to Bluewater Hwy. Surfside Beach is conveniently located about an hour drive from Houston, a 3-4 hour drive from San Antonio/Austin, and a 4-5 hour drive from the DFW Metroplex. Surfside provides a quiet, relaxing, seaside retreat with a wide array of family activities including surfing, fishing, crabbing, shelling, bird-watching, boating, sight-seeing, shopping, dining, and beach activities like kiting, jet skiing, and soaking up the sun. Nearby Lake Jackson and Galveston provide additional options for fun and entertainment. Moody Gardens, Galveston Island's Pleasure Pier, and Schlitterbahn are just a few of the nearby attractions that will make your stay in Surfside memorable. We are happy to share with our guests the house we adore and know you'll come to as well. We loved sitting on the porch and walking the beach. The house was well layed out for a large group. The only downside was the mosquitos which were horrible. We are used to mosquitos and they were the worst experience we have ever had with them.

The property is in the perfect location. Not too close to the main beach access right at the end of the bridge. That area gets very congested and crowded. This house is further down. The beach is quieter and cleaner. The house was adorable & perfectly set up. My husband and I and my three teenage boys had the rooms at the end that shared a bathroom and my brother and his wife and my sister and her husband had their own bedrooms with their own bathrooms. It worked out perfectly. The kitchen was a great size. It was well stocked with pantry staples, and all the cookware, appliances, dishes, cutlery you could need. No need to drag that stuff with you on this vacation. The beds were all very comfortable. There’s plenty of comfortable seating in the living room to gather and watch movies. The dining table was large, and they had extra seating at the island. There were tons of boardgames. But mainly, we spent our time down at the beach, which is easily accessible from the crossover right next to the house. Or we spent our time on the deck watching the waves and the beach goers. The deck is nicely furnished with big wooden deck chairs and table tops to set your stuff on. The area under the house was perfect for grilling and staying out of the sun. We lucked out and had super clear water for the entire trip. There were only 2 downfalls; 1 is there was a lot of tar washing in and it was messy. 2 the water filtration was down on the island and the water smelled putrid. We’ll be back!

I have rented this property 4 times and it’s the perfect layout for our family. Three king bedrooms is always a plus for our tall family members, the front deck is a few feet closer to the beach so you can get a full view up and down the beach without neighboring decks in the way, we love having hot & cold water for the kids in the outdoor shower below, the tall ceilings feel spacious, and the rooms are all separated by a bathroom or closet so you can’t really hear the other families in the other rooms. Great property with its own ramp over the dune to the beach! We will be back next year.

Tranquility Base is right on Surfside beach, great location. The house has a great floor plan, decor, and is very well stocked with items to cook, clean, and entertain with. We highly recommend Tranquility Base as a vacation destination. We are already planning our next trip to Tranquility Base.

Our family of 10 had a great time at this house. Since it’s right on the beach it was so easy to go back and forth. They had plenty of beach gear for us to use. From teens to toddler—all of the kids had something. We took a vote and decided to come back again!

This was a great place to stay. For the past 7 years my cousins, sisters and Aunts have had a yearly trip in October to some place is the US. This year was Surfside. We loved the house and location. Everything was spotless and if we had a problem there was quick communication with the owner.

This rental came with everything you could need to make your stay comfortable. The owners thought through every random thing you’ll forget and made sure to have it on site so you aren’t making 13 trips to the store! The beds were extremely comfortable and in excellent condition. The beach access bridge is just feet away and we enjoyed being able to watch the ocean from the patio. I can’t rave enough about this home!!

Beautiful relaxing views, comfortable beds & spacious bedrooms. Really appreciate the extra space on the property for parking all of the vehicles. We all look forward to staying here again.

From the moment we got out of the truck we could hear the waves. Then once you walk up the stairs the view is breathtaking. Walking in the house, everything was clean and cool. We had plenty of room for our group of 8 adults and 4 kids. The kitchen was well equipped and having a high chair, playpen and monitors was a plus. AMAZING LOCATION
