Everything was perfect for a first time visit to the area.

Located right in the center of Solomons Easy walk to restaurants. Views of sunrise on the inner harbor. Our hostess was helpful and charming and made an amazing breakfast. Our suite was very comfortable.

Can't think of anything in particular that we didn't like. It was July 4th weekend, though and probably busier than usual.

This was our 2nd time staying at the Blue Heron and already planning a future stay with friends.

Regan is the sweetest owner/ innkeeper who made the best delicious breakfast both mornings and even earlier the last am because of our traveling schedule. She goes above and beyond for her guests.

Breakfast was wonderful. The location was great, our first visit to this part of Maryland.

The only problem was that there was no closet in our room to hang clothes. Hence I used a hook on the back of one of the doors in the room to hang up a few tops. However, due to this anomaly, and I take full responsibility for being at fault, is that I forgot I had hung those clothes on the back of the door when I checked out. We spent the entire day of departure driving back to Canada, so I only realized what I had done on the next day. As soon as I realized, I phone the Blue Heron Inn and left messages. I did this every day of the week for an entire week, and also sent emails. With such an intimate small Inn, I thought it was not problem to put the items aside until I could retrieve them (we planned to go back to Maryland in the coming weeks). However, I never received any response to my phone calls or emails, not a word. I can't for the life of me understand why - it should have been a simple thing to put the items aside for me until I could return and pick them up. Extremely hurt and disappointed.

Exceptional

Great facility in great downtown location. Hostess was exceptional and breakfast was great. Accommodated our early breakfast request.

Signage could be better, we drove by it 2 times before we found it. Need a sign on the front of the building - it looks like a regular house.

Beautiful house in a great location.

The suite (Suite No. 1) was larger than I expected, with a large bathroom and shower stall, a large, comfortable bed, plenty of cabinets, a sitting room, and access to a wide veranda overlooking a protected anchorage with lots of boats at anchor and at the docks. The landlady, Regan, took great care of me, even when I was the only person in the house. She made a huge, fresh breakfast every morning, according to my requests for a no-carb option. There was plenty of coffee! The dining area overlooked the bay and sunrise. The house is in the heart of Solomons Island, and is just steps from a boardwalk with views of the sunset, and is within walking distance of several bars and restaurants. Other restaurants, a grocery store, and Spring Cove Marina are just a short drive away. The house sits away from the main street, so it's generally very quiet.

I couldn't get the door facing the veranda to lock properly.

It was worth the money

The breakfast was awesome. Regan did an amazing job. Will have to go back and take advantage of the other options in the place

Safe, comfortable place to get away during these trying times

What a great find! Perfectly located overlooking the bay, huge bedroom and a nice little reading room - who could ask for anything more. The breakfast was amazing! Looking forward to another stay

So relaxing! We will be back!

AMAZING bed & breakfast in the heart of Solomon's Island! The views are breathtaking. Breakfast was INCREDIBLE. There are lots of things to do in walking distance. The bed and breakfast is dog-friendly as well! We will definitely be back!
