An excellent hotel, very clean and friendly staff. Rooms are great and in excellent condition. Restaurant was very good.

pleasant outside area in changeable weather. Good views from an elevated position
We were first offered a room up a flight of stairs, despite the claim that all units were on the ground floor. The bar was officially closed at 4.30ish on a Saturday afternoon. (Both points remedied in fairness, the first fairly quickly, although we had to wait while another room was made up, and the second rather grudgingly. This from a hotel which boasts 4 stars.You had to choose a breakfast from various options on the day before, wait to be seated and wait even longer to be served. Every other hotel in which we have stayed has provided a decent buffet breakfast without any rigmarole.
