The property was in a beautiful location

The property is well planned out and extremely well maintained. Not one bit of dirty grout in the shower or on the floors, everything sparkling clean. Very relaxing, but many options to explore if you’re so inclined. Food was excellent, pools and beaches, pristine. But the very best quality was the staff itself: everyone was friendly with a real Fijian, pride and friendliness, most especially exceptional staff member, Melrose, helpful that he generously used his own break time to cook a crab for a bunch of little boys, to do an extra garland, making class for a great grandmother, and to take a few Asian American guests to see the old Chinese cemetery passed an air strip and through a golf course. He were all above and beyond, and throughout it all Melrose gave lessons on Fuji’s history and Culture, including their liberation from British imperialism. Wow. Employees like Melrose are the best advertisements for Musket Cove!

Not a thing, everything is great!

We loved it all! Sadly only for 3 nights but we already plan to return. Our garden bure was spacious and beautiful, including an outdoor garden shower. The gardens and surrounds are very beautiful with the bures well spaced to allow plenty of privacy but also opening onto grassy common areas or beachfront where you could lounge on a deckchair. The rooms were serviced every day. You do a bit of walking to get around but it is not a problem, there are bikes to hire if you wanted them. Our meals at Dick’s Restaurant were excellent, super fresh and with plenty of choices and a great buffet breakfast with your choice of coffee to order. Book a table for evening meals and enjoy sunset views over the pool. The resort tour with Melrose was great, we learnt how the resort makes a lot of its furniture and repairs it, and makes the Malolo catamarans that get you there and back from the mainland. The Makare Spa is also beautiful and I had a fabulous massage and ylang ylang body scrub from Lucy. Other highlights were a hobie cat sail, watching the sunsets and meeting a few fellow guests. It’s very tidal so taking the snorkel tours out is recommended and you need to book. The reef tour was a bit disappointing; a lot of the coral was dead but we heard the sand snorkelling was better. Loved the yachtie vibe as well, it’s a refuelling and supply stop. Overall it was excellent value, really lovely staff and a beautiful setting. Paradise.

the pool is highly chlorinated but I guess it might need to be. I swam on a high tide instead.

The location is convenient in proximity to the shopping centers, market and bus stand.

Low water pressure on the first day especially on the top floor. Facilities are quite old judging from the state of the single bed and bathroom tiles.
