Willkommen im Paradies

Wunderschöne Anlage an der Laguna. Man fühlt sich wirklich wie im Paradies! Das Zimmer war klein aber sauber und komfortabel. Das Essen war sehr sehr gut. Das gesamte Gelände ist ein wahres Jungle-Paradies und es gibt überall tolle Sitzecken und Entspannungsmöglichkeiten. Kayakverleih ist inklusive.

Es war alles toll!

Urlaubsfeeling 100%

Wahnsinns Lage direkt an der Laguna! Traumhaft zum ein paar Tage entspannen. Freundliches Personal, alles sehr sauber! Toller Arbeitsbereich, Hängematten, sehr gutes essen.

Die Ventilatoren im Dorm waren ziemlich laut.

Discrimination with the locals and poor customer service.

Good food and location. Good view.

Discrimination with the local groups. I went to celebrate my bachelorette party with friends. From the beginning was a bad experience, I made a reservation for 9 people and they didn’t have that reservation on their system and they even didn’t apologize for that. Then, the service with the waiters were awful but we tried to be empathetic and thought it was because the placed was really full. Next morning, they served the breakfast to all the foreign people (white people: American tourist or European and I was there with my other friend, both Nicaraguans and we complaint twice bc we were the first in ordering and they served to the foreign people. They only listened to us on the third complaint.Poor customer service and communication with the staff. Never coming back.

Terrible customer service for non white people.

Good location.

Discrimination of local tourists. Privileged treatment to European or American tourist/white privilege. We made a table reservation for 8 people. They didn’t have the table ready when we arrived. They didn’t care or apologize for that. Every time we placed an order of food or drinks, the servers looked bothered. The next day, I left the hostal before eating the breakfast that I had already paid because they served all the foreigners before considering serving me. I asked twice for my breakfast as I needed to leave early. I was at the restaurant area since 6:00 am and left the hostal at 8:00 am. They had plenty of time to prepare my order.

Heerlijk ontspannen en relaxen!

Super fijn hostel om 1/2 nachtjes lekker bij te komen tijdens het reizen. Het voelt zo als de naam al zegt letterlijk als een klein paradijs.

Er zijn bij het water veel zit stoeltjes maar niet echt ligstoelen of plekken waar je echt languit kan op je eigen handdoek.

Location right on the lagoon, attentive staff, kayak rental included, the most luxurious shared rooms I've ever been so far!!

+15% if you pay by card... so make sure to withdraw some cash!

Exceptional

Huge property with free kayaks, access to the lake which is a gift when you go in the early hours. I watched the sunrise over the lake and swam in the calm waters before the day pass people came in. They have a restaurant and a bar I didn’t eat at because I carried food but it exists. The dorm is beautiful, spacious and feels luxurious.

Beware of the taxes they will add at the end of your trip.

Almost attacked three times by the stray dogs that roam around the property. Horrible stay!

Visually appealing but that doesn't matter. I was almost attacked by their half dozen stray dogs three different times. Once when I was just sitting at a table. Never going back unless I want rabies. Kayaks and life jackets were adequate and available. The lake is very nice when the water is calm. Breakfast was good but coffee was bad.

They allow stray dogs to roam the property and guests to feed them from the tables. The staff would not remove the dogs and the front desk receptionists laughed at me when I reported it. Worst front desk staff I've ever encountered. No accountability and they don't care at all about the safety of their guests. Service is just bad. The restaurant staff doesn't look up and act like you're troubling them when you try to order food. They mumble in Spanish to make it as hard as possible to understand them. It's very obvious that they don't like foreigners. Also, no ventilation in the dorm rooms and no way to escape the mosquitoes and flies. Clothes and towels never dry. Bug bites and flies the entire time. Overall very uncomfortable from start to finish. Checking out has never felt so good.

A place to relax :)

Everything, it’s a great place to stay. Since the minute you walk in is all nature, you are surrounded by a lot of trees and have a great view of the lake where you can just chill and relax all day, also enjoy of different activities that they have for you (kayaking, pottery, etc) I surely recommend this place.

One of my favorite hostel in Central America

First : the view ! incredible. Then the accommodation: the dorm is very spacious, super clean and comfy. Each bed has its own fan and light. The food is so good, with so many options. The staff is lovely and always ready to help. There’s so many different areas to chill.

No water to refill the bottle and there’s additional taxes when you pay your bill

very clean beds all and their own lockers, lights and fans free kayaks, rubber rings and etc

restaurant service was appalling given the price food was delicious but waited for a minimum of 40 mins for food after ordering (longest was an hour and a half!) also forgot our drinks a couple of times. price of food is worth it for the quality and variety but service ruins it

A little paradise! Would really recommend to anyone wanting to relax for a few days

We absolutely loved our stay here! It really excelled our expectations, it is nicer than the photos. There’s various great communal areas to relax, including a beautiful beach with warm, clear water to swim in. Our room was very comfortable with nice pillows, a fan and space to hang clothes etc. We were worried two nights / two days might be too long as you spend the whole time on the property but it wasn’t at all, there’s a great vibe and it’s just a little paradise to relax in. The garden is beautiful too, with lots of flowers everywhere. Most importantly the staff are amazing! They constantly keep everything spotless and the service was like that at a luxury hotel.

It was $15 extra per night to use the air conditioning which we felt was too high considering the cost of the room itself was similar. Without it the room was very hot.

Good hostel

The dorms were well equipped - each bed had its own light and fan. The bathrooms were nice and never had a long wait. It's nice to sit by the beach and always a place to rest.

Superb

The location is amazing! The staff were really friendly and super helpful!! When you stay you get free use of the kayaks and they were so much fun 😁

The tax and service charge added to the bill at the end aren't made very clear, if we hadn't have asked we wouldn't have known and an extra 25% to our bill would have been quite a shock! I don't mind a service charge, but I think the tax should just be included in the price.

Beautiful property, the staff were friendly, a little slice of paradise on the lake!

If you’re looking for a social hostel, this isn’t it - lots of privileged ‘backpackers’. The food is very expensive, but delicious.

Picture postcard location

Absolutely stunning property. Like a postcard being right on the lake. Free use of Kayaks was an added bonus. Food and cocktails were wonderful as well

Bar staff could be more friendly, sometimes we felt they were pissed off when ordering food/drinks and felt a little awkward. These guys seem to work incredibly long days though!

The Laguna is nice but we would not stay at Paradiso again

The location itself is super nice. The laguna is very beautiful. The rooms were simple but clean and the staff friendly.

way too crowded, loud music the whole day, food was bad, the type of people who stayed there were not our vibe. You can’t do any really interesting activities there but to chill on the Laguna it is too loud, too dirty and too crowded.
