清潔でドミトリーと言うにはとても広い空間でした。

シャワーの出がとてもよかったです。

ドミトリーのカーテンの切れ目が多くてとなりの方が出られる時にカーテンが開いたりするのでその境目に服を干したりする必要があるかなと。

3Fトイレドア改善希望

簡単な朝食付。パンではなくご飯、味噌汁(具たくさん)海苔、漬物。

3Fのトイレドアの音。宿泊人がトイレに行くたびに、夜中でもガラガラと開けしめの音がひびいてやかましい。

I loved the whole guesthouse. The owner, Taro, is a great guy and a lot of fun to talk to.

Great shared room that I slept well in, easily accessible showers and laundry. Awesome common room. Guesthouse is located closet to a train station, drug store and large grocery store. Awesome ownership.

I loved everything. I have no complaints whatsoever. I don't know what else to write here.

We wish we could have stayed one more night!

The host, Taro, was very friendly, outgoing and informative. He told us many good things about Kochi and Shikoku. He runs a very clean and efficient guesthouse. We were happy to use the laundry facilities and enjoyed the breakfast.

First of all, the place is close to various tourism places like Kouchi Castle, Ohashidori, etc. The owner also nice and friendly, he can speak English so well which is pretty good. The other guests also seems nice, other than foreign tourists there are also Japanese tourists. You can of course try to make friends with them.

It was absolutely wonderful!

I liked everything! It’s always a great stay when we come here. It’s always exactly what you’d expect.

There was nothing I didn’t like! They always do a great job at managing their guests.

Great place to stay for a few nights and meet fellow travellers and ohenro-sans

A friendly and helpful owner that is a great person to talk with. He took care of some of the stuff that I left behind with him to be able to continue and complete my pilgrimage. The place has a central space which is great to meet other travellers. Breakfast is included so a great way to start your day. I had a nice room for myself with a small desk so I could do some work too.

Not the fault of the hostel, but not many places in the vicinity to have dinner other than a supermarket and convenience store close by. So for dinner options, you have to walk out a little bit. Another thing is that the showers are downstairs. But I've noticed that this is more common in Japanese houses, so an architectural choice not per se a hostel choice

Owners very kind and helpful (even recommending fun things to do in the area that I wouldn't have considered otherwise), location not too far out from the centre and perfectly accessible by tram, room and facilities everything I needed them to be, simple but homemade Japanese-style breakfast was a bonus

the host was nice at first. Later, he was not. Way too many rules. SUPER LOUD UNTIL 3AM! Supplied ear plugs for barking dog. Scant bedding. I guess for the money, have low expectations going in.

Fantastic value and great team. The doors can be a bit loud but overall a great stay

Fantastic service and owner. I really enjoyed how welcoming the staff and owner were. They offered many insights about the city that ultimately resulted in many experiences that I would not have had without their advice. I really enjoyed the owner and would go out of my way just to stop by and say hello, if I am in Kochi again. This place is also in a great location as well

The walls are extremely thin and the doors shut unusually loud. You expect various noise complaints at hostels but this was a bit excessive and I think something could be done to cushion how loudly some of the room doors close

Hosts Taro and Kayono were very welcoming. Lu Lu Lu is an easy 5min walk from JR Asahi station and 3 stations from Kochi. Rooms are big by Japanese standards with comfortable beds and a desk. Free Japanese breakfast is simple but filling. Hosts freely give advice on local attractions and will lend bicycles for free.(15min to Kochi station) Common shower rooms are modern and clean. Common kitchen is useful for cooking. Convenience store next door and a few local ramen and gyoza shops nearby.. Will visit again..

Superb

the multi-person room was extremely comfortable, the bunk beds were super comfy and it was nice to have our own space. The dude who runs the place is extremely friendly and super knowledgeable plus is ready to give recommendations for anything. facilities are clean and the breakfast looked good even if I didn’t have a chance to get some from my early start.

It’s a little far from downtown but not bad at all. 10 minutes by train and if you have been drinking and missed the last train about a 25 minute walk so totally doable!

Good deal, central, friendly, and a casual atmosphere restaurant included.

The owners were kind and communicative, with excellent English. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere, the decent breakfast, the lively restaurant- a hub that seemed to draw outside guests as well, the good price and it was a straight shot to quickly reach the night market on the tram. Owners also helpful at orienting us to the city!

Rooms are quite small, sound carries VERY easily through walls & door. Still, the price was right, so all good.

Bery good value for money in a pretty good location.

It was very good value for money. Location was good, next to combini and a tram stop to get to Hirome food court (where we had delicious seared bonito and really enjoyed ourselves). The host was exceptionally helpful and was keen to provide lots of information about the local area.

My elementary school child couldn’t reach the body soap in shower which he found frustrating. Only 1 sheet and 1 blanket was provided it would be more comfortable to have 2 sheets and 1 blanket so you can have a sheet between yourself and the blanket.

We absolutely loved staying at the Lululu Guest House! The host was wonderful.

I didn't know that breakfast was going to be included which was an awesome surprise! It was delicious and also fun to chat with the host as well as other guests that stayed at the guesthouse. The location was fantastic--just a short walk from the tram stop to get downtown! All of the guests we interacted with were extremely friendly and kind. I would love to stay here again the next time we are in the area. I will definitely be recommending this place to my friends!

Friendly Host, Good Location, but Terrible for Sleeping

- The host was very friendly and eager to give us recommendations for things to do in the area. We also received a postcard in the mail when we arrived home, which was a very nice touch that I’ve never had before. - Location next to a convenience store and close to public transportation, which was awesome! We came by car, and being able to leave our car at the nearby paid parking the next day was convenient and definitely saved us money. - Very tasty breakfast, loved the miso soup! - Had working AC in the room, very helpful for summertime heat. - Bathrooms we’re functional and relatively clean.

- I’ve never experienced anything quite like this before, and I think it must’ve been due to the location of the room. The bed and pillow were both pretty uncomfortable, but of course the price is very low so I can sort of understand that? The road is also pretty loud, but the accommodation provides earplugs which can help. What I was not prepared for, was to be rudely awoken around 11:30pm, and then again around 5am by the loud slamming of the large metal door downstairs. Since the bottom floor is a cafe, they have one of those large sliding metal doors to protect the space. Unfortunately, since the room was right above this, the walls and floor shook while pulling it down and up. That combined with the thin walls and other guests being inconsiderate, I can’t recommend this place for a good night of sleep. Maybe the other rooms aren’t so bad, but I don’t think I could go again as I barely slept at all. It’s such a shame as most everything else was a great bang for your buck.

Nice owner, close to station

- close to railway station (6 minutes) where limited express stops too - close to the tram to the city center - conbini (24/7 store) is just around the corner - supermarket is close - restroom is clean and pretty, comfortably separated shower rooms from sinks and toilets - owner is nice, welcoming person, speaks pretty good english - first thing after checking-in you got introduction to the city sightseeing spots, places to eat and how to get there. I missed that from previous hostels in Japan - after I came back home I received a postcard from them: "Thank you for staying with us. Please come back again" - owner is aware of the noise so room was equipped with the earplugs

- japanese type of breakfest (not japanese style) - one but thick slice of toast bread, jam, butter, small bowl of yogurt and another one with lettuce, coffee and tea. It's nice as a start up but as a Slavic girl I cannot call it a breakfest. I was hungry after one hour after it. I understand and personally have stayed at the accommodations which serves this type of breakfest before but I would prefer smaller price instead of this type of breakfest. 120 yen and I have onigiri which fills me much better. - noise. It was impossible to fall asleep without earplugs - you can hear people talking in the kitchen even in your room which 1 floor above, and doors are this type which slam hard.
