Very comfortable and cosy rooms, in great location in the centre of Tewkesbury. Joan, the owner was very welcoming and her breakfast was wonderful, with an amazing selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, nuts, seeds etc as well as several different choices of hot breakfasts. Excellent all round

Beautifully presented property. Such a pleasant place to stay. Host was friendly and helpful. Choice of breakfast was wonderful and really tasty.

Although the room had secondry glazing. The Abby bells kept me awake most of the night, so i wouldn't choose this particular room again being at the front. The passing traffic is also quite loud. It echoes round the street. The bed was comfortable but I would have preferred a much flatter pillow. The ones provided were all very deep & bouncy. I ended up using a cushion from the sofa - Perhaps place different sizes on the bed instead of using all very high ones. So at least one would suit. I read about the tiny car park beforehand but be mindful if you use it you may get blocked in. Or block someone else in. I was unaware of the tandem parking until arriving. I would worry if there was an emergency in the middle of the night for a family emergency you had to get back for or some other reason you won't be able to get your car out in a hurry. There is a nearby walkable car park but it's down a very dark lane which I would not be comfortable walking at night. We arrived first so I was expecting a space I could access my car as and when I wanted but was told to move backwards into a space so someone else can block me in. I explained we were meeting friends and needed to use my car. The host did move their own car from the one space on it's own and let me park there. We decided not to use my car after that as i didn't want to risk losing the space. Not sure why they didn't want their own car blocked in, as they told me 'everywhere is walkable in Tewkesbury you don't need your car' They made sure their own car wasn't blocked in though.

Arriving to the hotel was pretty easy. Parking is down a narrow alley. The hotel has 5 parking spots in a very restricted area. If all spaces are filled cars get blocked in and one car needs to move for the one in front of it to get out. Our room was large, inviting, nicely furnished, and the bed was comfortable. A downside, but nothing the hotel can control, is its location on the main street through town. The traffic noise can be annoying. The host was friendly and personable when we arrived. Her strong personality showed through in the morning during the breakfast service when she was very curt and direct, to the point of being irritating. Maybe she was having a bad morning. Breakfast itself was very good with a number of cooked options to choose from.
