een perfecte locatie om het strand en de omgeving van Peschici te ontdekken. De gastheer en het personeel waren altijd zeer vriendelijk. Het 4-gangen dinner dat we op de locatie extra konden boeken was ieder avond weer een heerlijke verrassing van lokale producten. Met een mooie wijn erbij maakte dat het perfecte plaatje compleet. Een aanrader dus.

Masseria La Chiusa delle More has a lovely view over the valley below Peschici and Peschici itself. There are few rooms and our stay was very quiet. The children absolutely loved the pool and miss the cat terribly. We were all happy with the excellent breakfast, in spite of the limited choice. Francesco was such a kind host.
The hotel is not in walking distance from the town, a car is required and it is a bit of tour to get back to the hotel. If you head straight for the paid car park in town this is no hassle at all. (For street parking, which would also be easy even in August, coins are required.) The family room is a bit smallish (we did not see the other rooms) and if you have very small children, you might not feel safe to let them sleep upstairs (steep ladder-like stairs).

We had a wonderful stay at Masseria La Chiusa delle More, and it was truly the perfect place to experience the Italian dolce vita.
From the very beginning, Francesco, the owner, made us feel incredibly welcome. He gave us very precise and clear recommendations about the surrounding area, which made exploring the region so much easier and more enjoyable.
The masseria itself is absolutely beautiful: a renovated traditional property with a refined yet authentic Italian taste. The atmosphere is incredibly peaceful — you really feel like you are in a little oasis in the countryside, away from everything.
The rooms are simple but very well maintained and thoughtfully cared for, and the availability and kindness of the entire staff are truly exceptional.
And then there is the breakfast. Everything is homemade, with wonderful local products, and honestly, it was the best breakfast we have had in years — if not the best breakfast we have ever had in our lives. A true 10/10, without any hesitation.
The only thing to keep in mind is the location: the masseria is in the countryside, and the roads around it can be quite dark in the evening, especially if you plan to go out for dinner. This is not a negative for us at all, but it is something worth considering when booking.
