We arrived in Arromanches late morning having travelled on the overnight ferry from Cherbourg. Our hosts very kindly allowed us to check-in at midday rather than their standard 4pm check-in time.
The appartment was lovely and had everything we needed. The location was amazing, overlooking the sea and in the centre of Arromanches.
As the appartment was on the second floor it was a little challenging getting our luggage up the two flights of stairs. This however would not stop me booking this appartment in the future.
We also found parking our car wasn't straightforward, with a few expensive carparks and various parking restrictions. We were however directed to a free carpark at the Tourist Information centre. This was only about a 5 to 10 minute walk from our appartment and was perfect for our stay.

Insgesamt waren wir mit der Wohnung zufrieden. Das Haus ist alt und eher rustikal, die Wohnung selbst ist jedoch in einem ordentlichen Zustand und renoviert. Das Schlafzimmer für die Erwachsenen ist vollwertig, das Kinderbett befindet sich in einer kleinen separaten Kammer (Hochbett).
Die Lage direkt am Meer ist schön. Aus dem Fenster sieht man einen Teil der Überreste des alten Hafens von Arromanches. Besonders schön sind die Sonnenuntergänge, und bei Flut hört man die Wellen direkt unter dem Fenster – ein durchaus besonderes Erlebnis.
Mit dem Auto ist die Situation allerdings etwas umständlich, da es direkt bei der Wohnung keine Parkplätze gibt. Man muss in der Umgebung suchen; einige Parkplätze sind nachts frei, tagsüber aber zeitlich begrenzt.
Insgesamt eine gute Unterkunft mit einer interessanten Lage, wenn man mit den Einschränkungen beim Parken leben kann.

The property description lacks very important information. The shower room is only accessible from the main bedroom. The room with the elevated bed, which has steps to get into it is not for older people and it has a toilet and basin. The access stairs are compact so care is needed getting up to the entrance on the second floor. The view from the front windows to the sea are excellent and proximity to cafes, restaurants and the local shops is good. Parking on the main will cost in the local car parks
