The location is excellent if you are travelling with train, also has many restaurants within walking distance. But, it can be difficult for sensible or scary people since there is a homeless shelter round the corner and also a few sex shops. Anyway, the place felt safe like any other train station surrounding areas in any german city: full of homeless, sex shops and gambling casinos; but no problem at all.
My room was huge, for 3 people, with included bathroom and big desk to work. The bed was comfy and the windows isolate the noise from the street perfectly.
Internet was working perfectly and medium speed.
The hotel is very old and badly maintained, so it looks like you are staying in a bad place, but actually it should have been a nice place to stay 30 or 40 years ago. The entrance is by a side door and then you have an old elevator to 5th floor and looks scary if you come alone at night.
Badly iluminated in general, so the experience seems more creepy.

The location is pretty good, very close to the train main station, close enough to downtown. Self check out.
Facilities are very old and the bathroom was not very clean when I checked in.
