The hotel is situated in a wonderful location with views of the rolling Tuscany hills. The staff were kind and welcoming, taking us to our room and explaining all aspects of the hotel. They went above and beyond to help us secure taxis to and from a wedding we were attending in the area.
Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
The restaurant was a fantastic experience with excellent service. The food was amazing and the staff were friendly and entertaining. Highly recommend booking a table.
We unfortunately pulled the short straw and were assigned one of the attic rooms which unfortunately, meant we couldn't appreciate the views from our tiny window. We also didn't get much natural light due to the small window, so it felt very dark and stuffy in the room. It was also a struggle for my 6 foot husband who banged his head quite a few times on the beams. Granted, we were kindly warned about the height issue before arriving via a Whatsapp message from the hotel and I imagine they don't assign that room unless they're at full capacity.
That being said, our other friends had fantastic rooms - Bright, beautifully decorated and very spacious. Plus, the grounds, pool and seating areas are very lovely, so we spent most of our time there.

Excellent pool, and gardens. Also, good dining in ambient surroundings.
Hostile reception. When we arrived after a long day's drive, we were met by the receptionist who's first Greeting was ' you can't park here' NO warm greeting, no explanation. We had inadvertently driven into the hotel forecourt. This is supposed to be the hospitality industry !!
Also we thought the room quite shabby with tired furniture
