The staff in the breakfast room were hesitant to give me a small amount of fresh milk to take to my room as I do not like milk in sachets, and I wasn’t going to pay for a full breakfast when I only wanted a cup of my own loose-leaf tea. If a mini-fridge is not provided in the room then I can’t buy fresh milk myself so please can breakfast staff be a bit more generous in their attitude.

The air conditioning worked very well, as did the shower.
There was no shelf space to store clothes. I had to live out of my suitcases. There was no frigibar to keep my water chilled. When I asked to reserve a taxi on Friday afternoon to take me to a function that evening I was told that this was unnecessary as reception would call a taxi in just two minutes. When I asked them to call me a taxi that evening I was then informed that no taxi was available and that it would be half an hour before one arrived. I tried to hail one on the street but without success. Eventually I had to take the tube while dressed for dinner in the sweltering heat. I would be obliged if you could advise your staff to inform guests that they should book a taxi well in advance if they needed to get to their destination in good time.
