Everything was very good quality- the beds,shower, television, towels, pillows.

The location is great for Le Route du Rock festival and also for getting into Saint Malo without a car.
The welcome we received on arrival. Staff were pretty rude. They weren't sure if the room was ready. We arrived about half an hour before check in and were happy to wait, but they didn't appear to be interested in explaining anything, (I asked for clarification that I had understood the time in French and was shooed away), so we just sat on a sofa and waited and eventually were told it was ready. Language barriers don't need to be an issue with a few smiles and a little bit of effort made on both sides.

Room very basic but very clean. Reception not open until 16.30
Fabulous nearby Chinese Restaurant saved the evening!
When booking were informed that there was a restaurant on site. Not true. Breakfast only. No evening meal possible.
Big neon lights say restaurant. Menu & pricing board at entrance. Not relevant. Not so since 2010 we were told.
