Overnight stay in Basildon

All very good, great breakfast, big room, well appointed, staff are very kind and friendly

They have messages everywhere trying to pressure you to score them '10' for your stay, including a very poor attempt in the room saying a 9/10 is a satisfactory stay. If you give great service you should get a 10, don't need to be influenced by crass promotion by manager everywhere you look. Need better soundproofing to reduce joy riding vehicle noise from Bas Vegas car parks.

brief overnight stay

Good breakfast, little on the pricy side but going rate nowadays, Plenty to do in the immediate area, bars cinema etc

We had noisy neighbours, didn't really effect me as I'm deaf, the wife was a bit annoyed but then again it was and overnight stop for us.

Came to visit family ideal location for us.

Location

There was a constant noise all day and night. We were on the fifth floor and I’m not sure what it was it sounded like water running through the pipes. Also our room wasn’t cleaned one day however we were compensated by a free breakfast.

Could be better

Clean tidy nice place

The heating system was banging and creaking all night, I rang the front desk twice but it kept me awake all night. I’ll be asking for a refund as I was meant to be in exams the following day and had to cancel to sleep with a migraine.

Nice clean and comfy rooms ideal for a short stay.

Since the renovation the rooms and super comfy and clean. Staff are all really nice

Still some work to be be done in corridor areas as it looks a bit run down

Could have been better.

Everything was good except the room heating. Could not sleep as the room temperature could not be raised. Two nights of lost sleep.

Room temperature was too low. Uncomfortably cold.

Convenient location

Staff, lay out in Bedroom nice sized TV

Bed was so uncomfortable lumpy we did not sleep well. Bathroom had black mould around bath

It was fantabulous notwithstanding the small nature of the room and the sounds from the next room.

The location was fantastic and the parking spaces available for free for customers make it superb.

I was allocated a disabled room which was not requested. It was in the staff quarters and the bathroom was like a public convenience.

The location was good.

The room was hot through the night even without the heating and the air conditioning was too noisy to use. The radiator in the room kept making a constant sound through the night

A lovely welcome from the team. The room was ideal and we were able to adjust the temperature to our needs. Comfortable and clean with a great location.

New bar area. Breakfast was kept topped up well. Good choice. Clean dining area. Good size room. Slept well. Would stay again.

Rooms were very clean Staff helpful. Breakfast area clean food lovely. Staff in resturant so helpful.

Only the thing if you can not do stairs for the breakfast there is no lift. However they offer to send some one to take your order and you can eat downstairs.
