Great place to stay during business trip

The staff was really amazing. From the moment you check in to all the facilities and breakfast was wonderful. Shout out to Joker who made our stay exceptionally memorable. He was amazing and added really good experience for us.

To begin with the positives, the hotel does have a convenient location. It is situated near shopping malls, stores, and the Xintiandi area, making it easy to access restaurants, shopping, and nearby attractions.

Our stay at this hotel was unfortunately very disappointing and far below what would be expected from a quality or first-class property. The hotel itself feels noticeably dated and poorly maintained. The room had several maintenance issues, including a toilet that would not flush properly unless multiple attempts were made. Even basic functionality was problematic — most of the phone buttons were not working, and the only way to reach the front desk was through the restaurant line after trial and error. Room service was equally frustrating. The wait time was excessively long, and when the food finally arrived, the soup order was incorrect. After notifying staff, it took nearly another hour for the correct soup to be delivered. The spa experience was also underwhelming. Rather than feeling relaxing or luxurious, the space appeared old and lacked any serene or upscale atmosphere. Service standards were not what one would expect from a premium hotel. Used towels had been left on the lounge chairs and we had to request clean ones ourselves before sitting down. Slippers were also not proactively offered and had to be requested. Breakfast service the following morning left an especially poor impression. We arrived approximately 20 minutes before the stated breakfast closing time of 10:00 a.m. Although we were still finishing our meal shortly after 10:00, a server approached us and asked that we clear the table because they needed it for lunch guests. This was particularly surprising given that the restaurant was nearly empty. In all our travels, we have never experienced being rushed out in this manner at a hotel restaurant. Finally, upon departure, no assistance was offered with luggage, further reinforcing the lack of hospitality and attentiveness throughout the stay. Overall, while the location is convenient, the hotel delivered a very basic experience with service and facilities that did not justify expectations for comfort, quality, or professionalism.
