Notre séjour au Phébus a été tout simplement parfait.
Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été séduits par l’établissement : une structure à la fois chaleureuse et raffinée, qui incarne à merveille l’élégance sobre du style provençal. L’atmosphère y est paisible et invite immédiatement à la détente.
L’un des grands points forts des lieux réside sans conteste dans la qualité de son accueil. L’ensemble du personnel fait preuve d’une gentillesse et d’une disponibilité exemplaires : une équipe toujours souriante, prévenante et d'une attention constante envers les moindres besoins des clients, sans jamais être intrusive.
Côté gastronomie, la table du chef Xavier Mathieu a largement comblé toutes nos attentes. Sa cuisine, d'une grande finesse, met en valeur les produits du terroir avec un profond respect des saveurs locales. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié cette approche authentique et maîtrisée, totalement exempte de ces baroquismes autoréférentiels et artificiels que l'on retrouve parfois dans certains restaurants étoilés. Ici, le goût et l’émotion priment. Un grand bravo au Chef !
Enfin, l’emplacement du Phébus est absolument stratégique, à deux pas des plus beaux villages et sites incontournables du Luberon.
Une expérience sans la moindre fausse note. Nous reviendrons sans aucune hésitation !

Le cadre était parfait, le personnel au petit soin. Il lieu exceptionnel et hors du temps, plusieurs petits attentions ont fait de ce séjour un moment hors du temps

situated in a very beautiful part of the Provence. The landscape and the views from the pool are fabulous. very quite and relaxing. It is a 10 minute drive to the breathtaking village Gordes. The hotel has a michelin restaurant (one star) and a bistrot restaurant (outside on a nice terrace), so dining and lunch does not require any travel. The breakfast is lovely, the pool is very nice and the hotel is fully equiped. The Staff is very professional and extremely attentive and helpful. They are definitely one of this hotel's forté's.
There was an unpleasant drainage smell, both in our room as well as in the breakfast lobby, which was situated underneath our room.
We dined in the michelin restaurant, which was good but very classic and a bit too old-fashioned to our taste. It was all a bit stiff with an ambiente very common in the 80's or 90's. We know some people prefer it still that way but we like it more experimental and contemporary. The Bistrot, on the other hand, we liked a lot. Of course the food was more simple but very good and so its service, more relaxed and personal. At last I like the mention the pricing, which is rather ambitious but then this whole region is not known for its cheap pricing so I guess its in line with its offering.

The property is very spacious and well-located near the village and starting points for hikes
The aircon wasn’t working properly: it was set to 18C but at best probably achieved 25C and was only intermittently working and when it was it was extremely loud.
The room had neither blockout nor see-through curtains which meant if we didn’t want to be exposed to the guests near the pool/restaurants we were in a fairly dark room but also light enough in the morning to be woken up by the sun (too early..)
The smell of lavender in the room was discomfortingly strong
Silicone joints in the bathroom need re-doing- they were dirty
Limited opening hours at the gym: opens at 9.30 which means when you train in the late morning you are completely exposed to the sun
