Location - absolutely perfect for Seoraksan National Park hiking. If you're going there for hiking and are aiming to do any sunrise hikes, it's a great place to stay. If you'd like somewhere more comfortable, definitely stay in the city.
Much like all of the reviews we read prior to booking, the room was very tired and in desperate need of renovation. Air conditioning wasn't great throughout the stay and in general - it just didn't feel very clean (particularly the carpet).

Amazing location, great view.
And just a FUN hotel, especially for westerners. Pictures of the royal family, beatles stzff etc everywhere.
Breakfast is truly exceptional.
Rooms very dated, whole hotsl needs a good renovation.

I loved the location - five minutes walk from the park entrance. Room was nice and overall it was quite charming.
Breakfast buffet was good but not included in room cost.
Staff were generally excellent.
Overall the hotel is quite tired, worn carpets.
Food options in the evening were very limited.
The Queens restaurant only offered an overpriced English menu with steaks and lobster etc.
No room service - you must choose from a very limited in-room dining menu and then collect from the restaurant, it is not brought to your room
Unfortunately there is nowhere else to eat at night, I found myself making instant noodles.
