Bank holiday get away

Following a complete refurbishment, the hotel is more beautiful than ever. Rooms bright and airy, staff really helpful and service excellent

Perfect

Beautiful small hotel in incredible position, right on the beach and central for bars and restaurants. Impeccably clean, friendly staff and we managed to reserve a sea view room directly over the pool with the most amazing view of the sunset. The room was modern with a big walk in shower and a lovely balcony. Breakfast is fresh and varied with very good coffee - perfect

Hardly worth mentioning but parking is not great, if you’re lucky you might get street parking, otherwise it’s 2 euros to park on the beach where some cars got stuck in the sand!

Great Location

I loved the laid back feel of the hotel, the staff were friendly and helpful. I was so glad we booked a room with a sea view and also on a high floor, so worthwhile. Location is the best going. Great for a short relaxing break.

Nothing to complain about the hotel itself or the room despite the fact that the room and the whole hotel need updating. It was clean and adequate for our needs. Maybe more hot options for breakfast would have been nice. The downside we found in the resort itself was the terrible service and prices in the beach bars. Also on a couple of nights we were there finding a place open to eat in the evening was a real challenge. There's very little variety among the local restaurants either, they all have similar menus (I appreciate the speciality is tuna and I love it, (just not every day) and all are pretty expensive too. By the end of the holiday I found myself longing for somewhere with a simpler and more extensive menu.

Superb

Location is unbelievably close to a beautiful beach with incredible views. Staff is very nice and work very hard especially the General Manager and the breakfast lady. Reserve the full sea view room for a large balcony overlooking the pool. Breakfast is really good enjoyable. We took day trips to Cadiz and several other beach towns. Beach bar in front to hotel is perfect for ice cold beer and friendly service. Sunsets are beautiful and the water is crystal clear. Really enjoyed our 4 days for a little over 400 euros. We will be back.

Lovely Hotel

This was our 4th stay in 5 years (in 2020 we were unable to stay). The Gran Sol is in a perfect location on the edge of the beach, and though being also on the edge of town It is incredibly quiet. We had a very comfortable spacious room. The Receptionists are charming, very helpful and welcoming. The staff are attentive, cheerful, kind and also very helpful, my husband suffers from the results of a stroke, and l was recovering from a very badly broken leg, nothing was too much trouble. They made our stay a memorable and very happy one as always. The pool area is lovely, impeccable, and an oasis of tranquility. Covid regulations were in place - masks to be worn apart from when by the pool, dining and drinking. Breakfast was at one of three selected times of our choice. We love this charming small, privately owned hotel and all the staff who make our stay so happy. We are always sad to leave, and VERY VERY much look forward to returning next year, what more can one say!

Pleasant

Best location for beach and amenities. The staff were nice but not over friendly. They need more client contact. I speak Spanish but it made no difference.

The breakfast was appalling. The cheapest processed cheese and meats. Boring bread and cakes. Only hard scrambled and boiled eggs. No fresh orange juice. But the coffee machines made good coffee. We ended going out for breakfast around the corner. Perhaps an offer of a freshly fried egg could help.

to repeat. Missing you already

Excellent location. Nice restaurant too. The best? the staff¡ friendly and highly professional and caring for us all the time. Maria José and Alfonso spoiled us every morning during breakfast. We felt at home. Great experience.

the bed was a bit too hard for my back. The hotel is simple and a bit old fashion but the location is AMAZING and the staff makes you life very easy.
