This place is great. Really quiet, private, and has everything you need. Bed was comfortable, great A/C and showers, kitchen was nice, and host was really great! And amazing location. We stayed for 1 month and it was consistently great the entire time.
Nothing - all good. We did realize there are two sides to the property and never saw the lobby area until the last day! Wish we did, but it wouldn’t have changed our stay by much. Still great. Parking was also a bit hard but we always found a spot. There’s a nice lot near the location, but it’s payment required. Wished they had parking passes for the lot bc Rethymno is crazy for summer parking. But it all worked out just fine!

I love the old Venetian atmosphere and the open spaces for sitting and the patios in the old house. The decoration is charming and if you like morally uplifting amusing proverbs they are posted all over the house. One of the best features is the open rooftop where you can enjoy views and a drink.
Liked everything except perhaps the rooms could have been aired more with the stone walls the feeling was a bit musty in the little cell room.

We had an unforgettable stay at Barbara Studios, and the hospitality of our host, Iro, was truly second to none. We happened to arrive on her birthday, and she welcomed every single guest with a bowl of chocolates right at the entrance! The rooms were spotlessly clean, with bed sheets and towels changed every other day. The common areas are very pleasant and accessible 24 hours a day.Iro's kindness went above and beyond—when I asked her where I could find a laundromat, she immediately offered to wash and dry my clothes for me, completely free of charge. We also found the list provided in every room incredibly useful, as it was packed with excellent recommendations for beaches, restaurants, supermarket, parkings and places to visit. I would go back today if I could, and I highly recommend this place! Iro, thank you so much for everything. My daughter and I loved every single minute!
