Great location, easy trip to Cape Tribulation. Lovely setting in the Daintree.

My initial room had a strong stench of the septic tank overnight. The owner attempted to fix this, I was offered another room, which I gratefully accepted, this was further along and I a quite area of the grounds. Buses come in and out for lunch at the restaurant throughout the day. The carpark in isn't located right at your room. I have some mobility issues and getting to the room and down to the blue stream proved a little tricky. Especially with uneven ground, just be mindful if you use an aid to walk.

Better signage on walks 1 staff member suggested that we could walk in the creek to get to our destination we didn’t and wouldn’t as it had rained and was swollen so probably wouldn’t suggest that to guests due to safety concerns ps we do a lot of bush walking (he didn’t know that) and definitely wouldn’t

The restaurant is very nice and the staff as well: available for everything! In reception you receive one flashlight and one umbrella in case of rain.

We have been assigned to the cabin 18, at the end of the lodge area. This cabin is connected to a second one in the back (there was an internal communicating door, closed yes, but I really didn’t appreciate it!) Considering that the walls, in reality, are glass window slats, the result was ZERO privacy. The cabin was humid, the air conditioning system had at least 30 years and it was really noisy, the furnitures are old and in the most cases covered by rust. In the final, the lighting outside didn’t work: considering we have paid almost 300$ for one night my expectation was that everything was pre-checked and available. I understand that we are in the middle of the forest but it doesn’t mean that you can avoid any maintenance for years! Price not in line with the experience.
