Tout était parfait. L'hôtel, la propreté, la restauration (variée très bonne) la chambre et le confort des lits (n°2108). Le personnel (tout particulièrement Sachin) est d'une extrême gentillesse. La possibilité de dîner dans les autres restaurants qui sont également excellents. Tout est fait pour passer d'excellentes vacances. Nous partons le cœur rempli d'excellents souvenirs. Merci à toute l'équipe de the ravenala attitude.
Il faudrait être difficile pour ne pas apprécier cet hôtel et son personnel. Nous n'avons trouvé aucun point négatif.

Pour moi la Salle de bain n'est pas à la hauteur d'un 4 étoiles.
On a pas pu utiliser la baignoire pour prendre de bains car le mécanisme pour boucher la bonde ne fonctionnait pas.

The room was big.
The room smelt of damp, and there was visible damp in the bathroom and rooms. The shower fittings were loose,
The shower door joints were covered in mold, and so was the grouting.
The toilet paper fitting was loose and the toilet was too low.
The wooden flooring was loose and made too much noise and creaked.
The breakfast buffet was cheap and low quality produce. There was never enough food.
The room was too far.

It was difficult to get reservations in restaurants during the first week- it would have been helpful to be advised to book in advance.

We liked the gym, the meals and the pool. Occasionally we'd encounter a friendly smiling face who understood our communication and responded appropriately.
Not a friendly resort and staff generally cold, unfriendly and unhelpful. Ambience noisy and lacking warmth. Several issues, including bathroom flooding, mattress lumpy and slanted on twin bed. Manager, JD eventually sorted the plumbing after 4 days, though bed sorted same day. Housekeeping staff member, Emmanuel very friendly, smiling and communicated well. Generally, staff communicated poorly, very softly spoken, rushed, poor listening skills, lacked understanding, disinterested and never paraphrased guests' needs. STAFF NEED BETTER TRAINING!!
We felt harassed by staff at the hotel entrance wanting to know our comings and goings, even our going to the gym. Gate staff were good and friendly.

Beautiful grounds, a great room and lots of options for things to do, especially down on the beach area. The all inclusive package turned out to be excellent value. The food was mostly really great, especially the breakfast! Overall lots of great seafood options, beautiful cheese, yummy cocktails and fresh fruits. We were able to organise baby sitting really easily through the hotel, and enjoyed the family friendly feel of the hotel, without it being a place that was overrun with kids areas. It was lovely having the pool areas but also a nice beach to swim at.
Only had one disappointing meal at the O Restaurant (many others to choose from that were great), and the toilet area in the bathroom was tiny.

Comfortable large beach view room with a great view.
I am not used to paying for water to have with dinner and think when paying a fair amount to stay at the resort, it would be better to provide free drinking water to the customers

Brilliant as always ! My favorite of the Attitude group of hotels. Avi at the lounge bar is one of the best and should be a role model to the other staff. He most definitely elevated the experience!!!

Everything like in the pictures. Paradise garden, exotic fauna and flora, nice feeling with Mauritians feeling. Facilities and programmes are diverse and much more. The staff are great and friendly. The management does anything to feel yourself the best too. We had discovered the island during the days, but if you want to stay your holiday in the hotel, you will get everything from it.

From the time we arrived to our departure we were treated great and everyone we meet were helpful and efficient. The whole resort is beautiful with plenty of activities and it does not feel crowded. A huge thank you to all the staff we interacted with and the lovely help we got with getting a better room after the first one we got had some issues with the bathroom. We couldn't be happier with the new room and the service we received. Will come back again for our next visit to Mauritius!
Slightly small portions in the restaurants but very tasty food and good selection. A little noisy from the bird alarm at breakfast but understand the need for it to keep the birds away from the outdoor area of the restaurant.

The resort is great, with nice entertainement for every age range, the rooms are nice and clean, the staff is amazing, they really do respect their clients, everyone is super nice to children, they seem to love children just because they really do, not because it’s their job to be nice. We felt really spoiled and that’s exactly the kind of feeling uou want to have when you’re on vacation.
The beach/ location is not wow compared to other beaches on the island. But there are some very nice public beaches in the proximity if you really want. Anyway, you won’t even pay attention, as you have so many great things to do.

The Ravenala hotel was just amazing!
Our room was super big, comfy with an amazing bed and view on the gardens.
The breakfast options were great, you have plenty of different choices (vegan, childfriendly options...).
The staff care was exeptional, always ready to help us with our requieries.
The highlight of our stay was the special dinner that we had on the front deck on the waterfront, a lovely and romantic experience to enjoy as a couple!
Highly recommend!

Big room and some waiters were very nice
Some staff need to be trained better i.e., by training to show hospitality they tend to be super slow in explaining and it gets frustrating so next time appreciate less bikering get straight to the point and move on. The wash room were a challenge as well! didn’t like it all!!!

Rooms were spacious and well equipped. The grounds were very pretty and well maintained. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Evening entertainment was good. The pools were perfect as there was a large shallow pool, which was nice and quiet. It's especially great for kids who can't yet swim. There was also a shallow, covered section of this pool for babies and toddlers.
Good selection of free water activities like kayaking and SUP etc.
The buffet breakfast was a bit boring. They could provide a better selection of fruit and provide pots of coffee.
The water in the sea was slightly murky, but that could be because it's at the mouth of a river.
We didn't have a car and felt a bit isolated. We took a hotel taxi to a town 10 minutes drive away, and he charged us appropriately €50 return, which was shockingly expensive. Definitely hire a car if you're planning on travelling around the island.
We were on B&B rate but ate lunch and dinner there most days. This worked out very expensive in the hotel as there are not many local independent restaurants in Balaclava, which we could have visited instead.

Huge, impersonal resort. You can have your room 400 m away from the reception and 500 m away from the beach.
Small beach close to the mouth of a river. Translation: water is muddy and dirty. Although the beach itself is nice, I had the worst water experience in Mauritius.

Ugly beach, sea.
Right next to the beach a brown river flows in and the beach suffers a lot. The photos of the beach and the colour of the sea absolutely do not match the photos from the hotel- disappointing.

The service, food, cocktails & all around service were great. If you're only staying for a few days, I would recommend seeing if you can call & book a restaurant you want in advance. We didn't get to eat at preferred restaurants as by the time we checked in & went to book they were 'booked out'
The room had a very musty smell to it & is a little outdated for the price, but it is still nice.

The room was clean, big, comfy and it had everything we needed in term of suppliences. The staff of the hotel was very friendly, kind, always willing to help and provide good services. We chose the HB package and I can say the food was various enough for us (especially when we had dinner). Also the hotel has A la carte restaurants which are included in the HB and All inclusive packages (you just need to book a table). The pool was clean and we had plenty of space to swim or to relax around. You can do different activities, such as sports, volleyball, basketball competitions and water sports provided by the resort (snorkeling, diving).
There are not so many things to do outside the resort (not so many shops or restaurants - you have to go near Balaclava public beach). The beach of the resort is not the best, but it is nicely decorated and you have the island vibe (the water is not as turquoise as the one of the public beaches in Mauritius).

Room - had to ask for face towel and hand towel - they should know after you asked once.
Checkin - the lady in charge of payment was not focussed - after telling her I have an Amex card for more points she uses the wrong machine and I had to use an alternate card - and only after she told me she could have used the Amex card machine so I lost double points with my bank.
Breakfast - fruit can be cut to look more appealing.

The resort has a variety of activities and restaurants to pick from which makes it convenient to stay in.
The lack of waiters checking in to see if we required anything, and the cleanliness of certain areas, especially the baby chairs.

We came here for our honeymoon and the management surprised us by offering us a candle lit dinner by the beach on our first night there. It was a three course fine dining meal and the food was delicious, from the starters all the way to their desserts. Overall, the hotel was better than most, if not all, of the four star hotels we've stayed at. The rooms were large and spacious and the facilities were all well-maintained even though the hotel has been around for awhile. There was a lot of variety for breakfast, from international to local Mauritian food. We enjoyed kayaking up the river and paddle boarding in the sea, which was open and calm and the beach also had plenty of beach chairs for sunbathing. The hotel was also located less than half an hour from Port Louis and Grand Baie and is a great base to explore the North, but make sure you have a car. Great hotel!
The rooms were not that well-stocked and we had to request for basic items like hair conditioner and body lotion, the latter of which they did not end up providing after having us wait for quite some time following our initial request. Coffee, tea, sugar and corkscrews also had to be self-obtained from the lobby area. The staff also could be better trained as we had to be constantly passed on to senior staff for basic questions like corkage rates.

Amazing choice of food for breakfast and dinner (I was on half board), three swimming pools and beach just in front! Very good facilities, whether for families or couples.

There are tiny tiny ants everywhere, but this is something very difficult to fight with in such a climate. You just get used to it :-)

We loved the resort, so spacious, plenty of room, even when full. Great choice of restaurants, with fabulous menu choices and kids options - just brilliant. We loved the beach - shallow and quiet, great for kayak and stand up paddle boards which were included.
Having to carry our phones for dinner and for the bar - as the menu's were only via QR code online. But otherwise - NOTHING!
