Excellent staff, we were well looked after, prime location, room large enough and in good condition. The style is rustic with wood and stone finishings. Very clean. Good value for money (considering we booked during the summer peak season and it’s a fairly touristy area). Make sure to dine at the restaurant downstairs as it’s phenomenal.
While the place was overall quiet we could sometimes hear noise coming from adjacent rooms. In the morning the arrangement for cleaning is that one should leave their keys in a bowl in a communal area to let the staff know they can access the room. I think this is a security concern to be honest as other guests or even intruders could easily access the room and had I been a female solo traveller I would have asked for an alternative (they do have an in-room safe so it’s more of a personal safety issue). The hair drier in the room seemed dated and was not very efficient (not a big deal on a hot and dry summer day but could be a pain during winter). The breakfast was not served in the restaurant: the mini fridge is topped up daily with yoghurt, milk, juice, water and butter and fresh bread cake and fruit are also provided. For us it was plenty but those who love a classic hotel continental breakfast might be disappointed.
