The staff were nice.
This was probably the strangest hotel experience I have ever had. It was not because of staff, they were nice. But the hotel is completely unprepared for weather. Cabo has rain during Aug - Sep but when rain started their electricity cut off in the rooms because they don’t have sufficient generator. Food was offered but my room was without any electricity most of day. I requested refund for the portion of the day without it but this still was not addressed. I couldn’t open window and fan was electricity based so I was sweating like crazy and very miserable.
Elevators didn’t work and both beach and pool were closed (not exactly sure why since customers are wet anyways because of swimming. They could just not allow us to go swimming?). Additionally the hotel is far from any nice beach (there is a public beach but I didn’t see anyone swimming there) and there are no things to do around. You have to either walk (in the sauna-like weather) or take Uber. So once their beach/pool is closed you are screwed, there is virtually nothing to do. All in all, hotel team were nice but whoever manages or owns this should consider a generator. On a plus side food was good and service was nice. Beach club was ok - it didn’t have this nice open sea view that I was expecting, but on a plus side it was protected. There are couple of restaurants around hotel if you want to mix it up, otherwise you have to go to town. Rooftop pool was nice and for those who like this kind of thing I am sure it is a perk.
