Room was upgraded to Level 3 to improve view. Looked directly out on Marina and was beautiful.
No hair dryer in room, but accepted room was undergoing minor remediation.

The location was great.
Positives:
Greeting - staff lovely
Location - wonderful
Linens - fluffy towels, clean crisp sheets
Breakfast - delicious
Negatives:
- High tariff off-peak compared to other North Island hot spots I travel to
- Beds hard, pillows lumpy, they need toppers and pillow selection
- Restaurant closed for dinner low season although message I got from hotel implied it was open
- The hotel exterior was painted like a children’s daycare centre and an eyesore to the surrounding environment. The back garden was neglected looking with half dead trees
- Lift was tired and sloppily painted.
- The hallways were scuffed and dinged with dirty stains on the carpet which was not welcoming at all, felt like a hostel. Needs a big spruce up.
