Was a very good, traditional style house, location was perfect, with a stream in the garden easy hikes nearby and only 25 mins from wast water perfect for paddle boarding

Lovely location and building, remote. Not everyone would like that but we did. Good pub and pub food next door, train line from Dalegarth just up the road.
Full thickness crack through upstairs bathroom toilet seat was unhygienic. Minor things: no tin opener, cheese grater, rice/veg steamer. The lights over dining room table didn’t work so it was dark eating in there, parking spaces rather tight, as was the entrance into the site, just be aware if you are car proud. Roads narrow and driving around there involves tight squeezes, passing places etc, just be prepared. Hard knott pass not for the faint hearted. No reply to query sent to owners pre visit. No phone signal in the area (part of the charm but again, worth knowing).

Excellent location. Full of character.
I think it is too small for a party of eight. The kitchen and living space is small. The WiFi was intermittent.
