Great room, we had the junior suite with a double bed and bunk bed for our child. It was very quiet and the bathroom was good.
Breakfast was fantastic and we could play boardgames downstairs.

A spacious room with a large balcony. My balcony didn’t look out over the sea, but onto the castle ramparts promenade; still, it was lovely to sit out there and read. The toilet is in a separate room, not in the bathroom. The bed is comfortable. The staff are neutral. There’s a good selection at breakfast. There are some good restaurants just a five-minute walk away.
As the hotel is in the harbour – that is, at sea level – and the station is higher up, it was a bit of a struggle to get there on foot with my heavy suitcase. It looked like a short walk on the map – I hadn’t realised there was such a difference in elevation! Of course, this isn’t the hotel’s fault, but I was sweating by the time I got there. By the time I left, though, I knew it was worth taking the bus to the railway station.

Room was tastefully decorated. A big plus was the door to the balcony and the big window had electric shutters which kept the room dark at night. The balcony had a seaview if I stood up. There were some with a sea view but I think you paid more- they must all have been booked when I reserved as there wasn't that option. Room on top floor was very quiet. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good- lots of choice and eggs and beans as options for vegetarians. Nice shower.
The toilet had a funny smell but it was clean enough. The hotel was out of the main part of Brest (although I think this helped keep it quieter) which meant a walk with bags from the bus terminal down and then up again. But it was convenient for the castle, marina and cable car.
