Beautiful room, has AC, helpful staff, wonderful breakfast! Location is in the hear of old town.

Old Prague House is a family run lodging very close to the Old Town Square and the Charles Bridge. The staff was quite friendly and helpful with one person even leading us to the grocery store at the end of his shift. They helped arrange our pick up at the airport and were very gracious in adjusting my reservation when I accidently booked the wrong dates. They responded quickly to all of my correspondence. The rooms were clean, and towels were changed daily. There was even a mini-frig in the room. I really enjoyed having the apple strudel at breakfast. (Don't expect it at every breakfast.) I would definitely stay here again.
We were happy with Old Prague House. Others might be concerned with having to walk up stairs, having a fan for air conditioning, or having outside noise (especially during the World Cup). A note, when putting in the direction on your phone, this is Old Prague HOUSE, not Old Prague Hotel or Old Prague Hostel. We made that mistake.

The staff were very nice and pleasant. The breakfast offered a wide choice between, hot, cold, pastries, fruit and cereal, unlimited coffee and various teas during breakfast, all of which nicely set you up for the day. The bathroom was a good size, but did have a clear window straight into the courtyard, which unfortunately, did catch my friend out on one occasion especially as it was on the ground floor. The main bedroom was an ok size which had two single beds. I also contacted the hotel on a number of occasions and they replied very quickly by email and once by telephone to check they fully understood. It was in a good convenient location so nothing was too far to walk.
The sofa bed was in a very small space, which made it awkward to get round to the fridge, the mattress was directly on the floor, which was ok, but obviously very low down for my friend. The very worst part of it, was that our room opened straight into the small breakfast room so as we appeared for breakfast, everyone turned round as they obviously weren't expecting to see anyone. This also made the room incredibly noisy for my friend as the staff would start prepping for breakfast quite early and there was literally just a door separating the two spaces. My friend asked for an alternative room, and to be honest the staff were very accommodating and offered another room, but it wasn't available immediately. My friend ended up wearing earplugs to get a decent nights sleep. We were there for five nights and were very disappointed in the situation of the room.
