The hotel is well located in a quiet area next to the Village Market, so lots of restaurants and shops, including a gym. The staff was very friendly, good breakfast and the place felt good

Located right next to the Village mall, which we liked much better than others we visited, and had lots of food choices and a supermarket. Staff were friendly, breakfast was decent enough with egg station, fruit, hot and cold bits, gardens were very pleasant and there was a basic gym next to the pool with plenty for us to get a good workout from (weights wise). Massive bonus. Rooms were a good size with a small kitchen attached, which we didn’t use. Good security on entrance
Had a room very close to restaurant, a little noisy but didn’t cause an issue. Kitchen may have been better equipped if people wanted to use properly.

The staff is extremely welcoming. I stayed with a colleague for 2 nights, and on both days we had to head out at 5am (breakfast starts at 6am). The staff was so kind to prepare some things for us an hour yearlier so that we could have cereal with yoghurt, plus they packed us lunch boxes with dry food and snacks. The reception, restaurant and other staff never said no to a single request, and always went out of their way to accommodate it. There were not too many guests besides us, so it really felt like we were staying at a freind's place. Also, the hotel looks like a private villa with a small workoutarea right next to the pool and a big lawn. Restaurant service is available all day, and the prices are good, the food is great.

A great location, lovely big rooms, and friendly and helpful staff. There is a pool I didn't use and a garden to sit in that I did. This is very much an antidote to blah blah blah business travel hotels, so if you're as sick of them as I am then this is a hotel to consider. Especially if you need to be at the UNON or in the diplo quarter. I stayed 12 days, so if you're just in and out for a couple then some of the not-so-great aspects I note below are likely much less relevant.
This hotel probably knocked it out of the park 20years ago. But that was likely the last time the rooms saw a lick of paint or there was new carpet or furnishings. So it's a bit down at heel. If you're okay with that kind of 'character' then all will be good. Althought the food is rather uninspiring you're right next to a 10/10 food hall so, apart from breakfast which is passable, you can eat out most of the time.
