Concetta and her husband are such amazing hosts. Responsive, kind, and they make you feel at home. They gave us their wonderful home produced olive oil, lemons and went to pick figs for us! They were always ready to help. The facilities are very new, clean and the view is beautiful. Thank you for the wonderful days!

I liked how updated and modern the place felt. Its a house turned into a stay. The kitchen was really nice as was the bathroom. I also liked that they had coffee pods available for the morning and some cookies laid out. Nothing in Iceland is ever free so it was nice to have that as an option when I got up in the morning before I got to the airport.

There were several things I did not like. For instance, there is one bathroom for 5 rooms. There is one couch to sit on in the lobby/living room so there isn't enough places for a full house to hang in a common area. The lights in the main area feel like you are in a Walmart and they were so bright that they lit up my bedroom even with the door closed. The bed was not very comfortable and the thing that bothered me the most was the correspondence with the host. They say they have an airport shuttle. This is not true. They do not have one, they can arrange one for you. Anywhere in the world that I have ever been (which is over 40 countries) if you say that you offer an airport shuttle it means that you have one for your property. Offering me a third party shuttle service is not added value. Anyone can do that. Its like offering me bed sheets with my bed. So I assumed that they had a shuttle and was the reason why I chose the place. When checking out there was a note that asked if I'd like the shuttle so I said yes and got an email back from booking.com saying that there would be no charge for the request. Then I got a message from the property saying that it was $45 each way. Iceland is expensive but you can get the Flybus for $30 into Reykjavik and this place is 5 minutes from the airport. When I clarified with them saying the email I got said there would be no charge, they said they had no clue what I was talking about. I asked if there was a public bus option and they blew me off. There is in fact a public bus option and its super simple and basic information that they should know and offer up as an alternative to the ridiculous price to drive 5 miles. The T55 bus leaves roughly every hour and is 600 ISK or about $6. The first stop is then about a 10 minute walk to the stay. To me it felt like a money grab. Since they knew that I wasn't going to spend more money and book the shuttle service they no longer cared.
